5 out of 5 eggsGreat Color

Pros: This TV has excellent Color especially the HD. I have no complaints. I have used it since Nov 2011. No issues.

Cons: None that I can think of. Why is a requirement that you write a cons if you do not have any??

1 out of 5 eggsworked for 3 weeks

Pros: Great picture for 3 weeks.

Cons: Went pop and was dead after 3 weeks.

Other Thoughts: Got a great price on Cyber Monday. Then left town for a month, and finally set up the television, after we returned and finished redecorating. Plugged it in and wow...what a great picture. I just called the warranty line (after hours answering service and will stay hopeful that someone will stand behind this product and replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: I'm not a TV snob, but you probably shouldn't be either if you're looking at this. I replaced my old 32 inch 1080i Sanyo with this. The difference is absolutely amazing. The picture is so much better than what I was used to. I love that it automatically turns off and all the inputs are nice.

Cons: As others mentioned the presets are garbage and don't do the TV justice. I found a post with a really good one though and it looks great.

Other Thoughts: People are really complaining about the speakers? What are you expecting with this sort of TV??? Do yourself a favor and get a cheap surround set.
I did throw a keg cup at it during the superbowl (not the Tv's fault, the Patriots) and did not realize there was some beer left inside. Luckily the TV took it like a champ and a microfiber cloth cleaned it right up.
Use with xbox 360 (movies and games), hd antenna, and laptop.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's okay

Pros: It was dang cheap..
Overall brightness is good
Easy to use menu

Cons: 2 dead pixels already!
Doesn't go full screen on HDMI from a PC, has a border around the edges of about 3/4 an inch!
Viewing angle could be better
Pixel density isn't wondrous

Other Thoughts: You tend to get what you pay for in the TV market.. I never heard of Haier before I bought this TV.. It will be a good tv till I want to spend some real cash on a Samsung.

3 out of 5 eggsa good starter hdtv

Pros: easy assembly, light weight for its size, plenty of inputs, compact remote, nice color and brightness, everything works

Cons: uneven backlighting, VGA connection has ghost image, 1080p isn't as sharp as expected, dead pixel

Other Thoughts: This is a good starter HDTV. Good for TV shows, sports and as a PC monitor (like right now.)

An avid movie buff should avoid this because of the uneven backlighting. The lighting hot spots are obvious in dark scenes. If you watch movies and don't use the TV as a PC monitor, consider a plasma.

The VGA connection has an impedance mismatch somewhere. Could be the HDTV, my laptop, or the cable. However, the laptop HDMI port looks great on the HDTV. This is what is being used now.

Something about the 1080p mode bugs me. Seems a little fuzzy from what I'm used to.

The dead pixel shows up as a continuous red dot. It's on the very edge of the bezel in the upper left corner. So, it's not really an issue.

The uneven backlight and fuzzy 1080p knocked two eggs off.

Using: brightness-25 contrast-51 color-69 tint-R1 temp-WARM

4 out of 5 eggsSteal for $300

Pros: Bought it on Cyber Monday for $300 and I can't complain at that price. Comes with more ports than more expensive brands and the picture and sound are both okay. Seems sturdier than a lot of HDTV's I have seen as well. HD picture looks great.

Cons: Picture isn't great by any means. It takes some playing around with to get standard definition picture to look good and even then it doesn't handle dark, motion-filled scenes very well at SD. Probably disappears with HD (bluray, 360, PC hook-up, etc)

Other Thoughts: Not the greatest TV but for $300 I feel like I got my money's worth.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good picture quality
Sound quality is ok (not nearly as bad as other people are complaining about.)
Plenty of inputs

Cons: First T.V i ordered came completely shattered, and would not be programmed at all. Good thing I was able to ship it back and get another shipped back completely free. Took extra weeks.
