4 out of 5 eggsCheap Monitor Option

Pros: Cheap, bright colors, minimal power usage. This TV works great as a computer monitor, and can display PC games quite beautifully at 720p.

The TV includes wall mount holes for upgrading with a stand later, decent speaker outputs, convenient inputs including HDMI, and a remote.

Cons: Limited to 720p, colors look strange without tweaking, and the contrast ratio is somewhat poor by PC standards. Most of these flaws are present in other monitor options of the same price range, however.

The stand that comes with the TV feels a bit flimsy, and places the monitor at too low of a height for typical desk use. I had to place a set of books underneath the stand to raise the TV to an acceptable viewing angle.

The unit I received developed a slow pixel within the first month of use, though the problem is hardly noticeable.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a widescreen monitor for a budget desktop system, or want to have a second or third monitor that can double as a TV, you could do far worse than a refurbished Element 19'' TV.

This product doesn't serve as a computer monitor quite as well as a dedicated monitor, but provides acceptable performance if you have a reason to want a TV along with your computer monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value for the money

Pros: Easy to set up, comes with a remote, cable, power supply and is fully assembled. Value HDTV for $69.00.

Cons: Speaker sound is lacking and harsh, but the tone can be adjusted through the setup function. No AAA batteries included for the remote. Not really 1080p quality but 720p.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's hard to beat the price.

Pros: Cheap, reasonably sized for resolution, easy to set up for most features, includes built in 3.5mm audio jack, menu reasonably easy to navigate, higher than 720p resolution.

Cons: Very dark colors will look very bad, built in speakers are lacking, limited input options, not full HD, color accuracy is sub par.

Other Thoughts: I don't recommend this product at $70,unless you really need a new monitor or tv, and simply do not have any money for anything remotely better, if the price were more like $55 to $65 I would consider this option, while on a budget, speakers are okay, but weak and have almost no lows, so I recommend taking advantage of the built in audio out, color accuracy is not good, but, to get anything much better you'll have to spend at least $20 more, all in all, this TV is only an option for people who are on a serious and strict budget, but still want a half decent TV or monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsComputer Monitor

Pros: Extremely satisfied with it. It has the connections I need, it is the size I wanted, and it's the cheapest I could find. The picture quality is as good or better than I'm used to, so I'm happy.

Cons: Would suck as a living room TV due to size. Doesn't rotate or tilt on its stand.

Other Thoughts: No idea if it has any problems with any of the features I'm not using. It works flawlessly as far as I can tell.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Sound

Pros: The price seemed right for this compact TV. Setup was easy, and the digital tuner worked great and picked up more OTA channels then my more expensive Vizio TVs.

Cons: I "cut the cord" about 4 months ago and have been looking for a small TV in my kitchen with a digital tuner. While the tuner worked great, the problem with this model is that the sound is horrible. Even after adjusting the bass and treble, and turning the "surround sound" on and off, the sound has a really bad echo and sounds tinny. This makes watching it extremely unpleasant. I suspect that these models were returned by their previous owners due to the poor sound quality. I will either return it or try connecting it to an external speaker to see if that helps any.

Other Thoughts: The description on this TV suggests that one might want to connect a USB to it and listen to MP3s, but the sound is so bad that you wouldn't do it more than once.

2 out of 5 eggsbeware

Pros: Price is great. No physical blemishes

Cons: Refurb. first came without a base, sent it back as N.E. would not send just a base. Second one digital tuner does not work. Only the analog tuner works. Fortunately I am using a basic cable hook up that broadcasts analog too. Not worth the hassle to return it again.

Other Thoughts: Unit is overall not bad and what you would expect for the price
