3 out of 5 eggsCheap price; decent product

Pros: Cheap price
Built-in DVD drive
Plenty of input connections

Cons: Dead pixel in the center of the screen
Blemishes around the front of the frame and the finish is worn on the sides
Poor reception from over-the-air antenna

Other Thoughts: This is a refurbished unit, so for the price it is unrealistic to expect perfection for this size t.v. However, know that in most cases you do get what yo pay for.

1 out of 5 eggsA Gamble

Pros: Low price
Combo product would be great if it worked.

Cons: The TV had a damaged pixel, one of which is seldom a problem, but this one is bright green and right in the middle of the screen, very distracting. More importantly, the DVD player stopped working after a couple of days. Most importantly, I have not been able to get this repaired or replaced through the 90 day warranty. Don't count on warranty service. If you buy this, your gambling.

Other Thoughts: I've been trying to take advantage of the warranty for about a month. Proscan won't do it and another number I was given apparently leads to an unattended voicemail box. I'll try the new number listed on the product page, but if that doesn't work I'll have to wait for the 2 year replacement warranty to kick in.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor quality

Pros: Inexpensive, Lots of connections, lightweight. Wall-mounted very well

Cons: Quirky controls (can't eject a DVD when set to TV, etc.). I used the DVD once and the picture started to distort. The TV never recovered. I'm sending it in for replacement. If the replacement fairs better than I'll update the review.

Other Thoughts: I had bought it to replace my 10 year old's ancient tube set. If it had continued to work it would have been great.

3 out of 5 eggsLooks great, dvd not reliable

Pros: Looks great, fantastic sound (volume scaling, depth, etc), speakers along bottom and in front, no dead pixels, plenty of inputs, great picture

Cons: DVD is touchy and unreliable. Won't read La Vie en Rose, Casino Royale at all (says no disc), cuts in and out of Zoolander. I ran Allsop Ultra Prolens cleaner, which helped for about 20 minutes of Zoolander, then it cut out again.

Other Thoughts: Will probably just buy a new dvd player because returning is a hassle and I'm not sure I'll get another unit with reliable dvd.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Great value for your dollar!
I got this TV mainly because it had Built-In DVD Player and price.
I have it in my bedroom and use DVD Player along with my WD LIVE TV and it works great. Picture nice and sharp.

Cons: First unit I got was Defective had about 15 dead pixels.
Newegg RMA'ed my old one and sent a replacement within a week.

My new one does not have any dead pixels but seems to still have a power issue. I have to power it on and after about 2 minutes of use the pictures gets distorted so then I power it off and power it back on. After this is done picture is fine. Don't know if this is worth waiting for another replacement if I RMA'ed it again.

Other Thoughts: Can't go wrong for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome!

Pros: Was a little worried about buying 2 of these to take to Mexico for my condo. I figured I would check them out really well and return if I had any problems. No problems at all!! I checked all functions of the TV and the DVD on both units and everything is perfect. Let each one run for hours. NO DEAD PIXELS!!! I got these for $199 each, but they are worth much more. Similar unit in Mexico would have been $700 because of import taxes, so I am VERY HAPPY, even if the DVD player goes out soon. ProScan is an RCA/Thompson brand.

Cons: Minimal packaging, but it served the purpose.

5 out of 5 eggsBest TV Value around!

Pros: For the money this has been the best investment I have made in anything electronic! I searched everywhere and you can't beat this deal!

We purchased this for our home gym and mounted it on the wall. Looks and works great! We connected our home theater computer in the next room so we could watch our movie collection at will and it works great!

I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Cons: Unit is poorly packaged, but made it to me in one piece.

Screen has one hot pixel (blue).

Not really a con, but be careful on what mount you buy, it won't work with most. (400mm x 200mm) I have listed below the one we used and it worked great!

Other Thoughts: We used this lcd with the following items and it worked great with both!

Cables To Go 25 ft. HD15 M/M UXGA MONITOR CABLE with 3.5mm AUDIO Model 43098 - Retail

AVF Eco-Mount Series EL404B Black 25" - 40" Multi Position Flat Panel TV Mount - Retail

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Price,Great Product Part 2

Pros: As stated I did purchase an additional tv for my daughters room and its just as good as the other 2.

Cons: 1 dead pixel, there were 5 to begin with but as the tv warmed up they flickered for a second and stabalized, havent had a problem with them since. Still 1 bright blue pixel stuck,Ive had Retail monitors come with over 8 dead pixels so its not a big deal for she hasnt noticed it either.

Other Thoughts: Junked my daughters gigantic tube tv and dvd player, this fills the huge space beautifully. Thanks again newegg

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome price,great product

Pros: I purchased this for my mother,I have the 26" without the dvd player and love it. This arrived and looked new, standard def looks ok,just as good as any other 26" 720p lcd. The dvd player works just fine aswell,I just made an order for a 2nd one of these for my daughters room. No stuck pixels,no volume probs, connections on back are a little weird...the video plug is a little less than a foot away from the audio jacks,no biggie though for I just split my cable down to a suffice length. My mom loves it,I love mine and my daughter will love hers, thanks newegg.

Cons: I was teetering on the recertified fence of whether or not to purchase this but in the end I was glad I did.

Other Thoughts: You will not be disappointed,if you do end up getting something that doesnt work just send it back, newegg has always kept their customers happy.
