5 out of 5 eggsDarn good deal and results so far

Pros: Price definitely!

Delivery was fast and TV was well packed/secure.

Picture is pretty darn good.

DVD functions well and is very convenient.

Even with just "basic" cable the TV "pulled" in all sorts of "extra" channels (analog and HD) when the channel search function was enabled. Nice surprise!

Cons: The setup functions described in pamphet were not entirely "correct". Pictures didn't match what showed up on the screen. Managed to muddle through it though!

The instruction booklet also did NOT have a section about the DVD functions. Required "experimenting" to figure it all out.

The buttons on the remote are REALLY small. No problem for me but this is for my 80 year old mother so using them and seeing them (for her) are a litttle tricky.

A few places on the frame show signs of being bumped/scrapped but only noticed it at very close inspection. Not surprised though since it's "recertified/reconditioned".

Other Thoughts: Giving a 4 rating but 4.5 would be appropriate if available.

Set-up was clunky because of a poorly written and incomplete manual but most of us can get through all that.

For the money though I think this is a good deal!

Because it was so cheap, I spent a little extra buying a SquareTrade warranty (cost like $35 for 2 years) just in case something goes wrong down the road.

Another good deal by newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!

Pros: Beautiful TV. We got this for my daughter and it's perfect for her room. Beautiful picture and sound is nice. LOVE the built in DVD player.

Cons: So far we have no problems.

Other Thoughts: Shipping. SHOCKING!! We live in Arkansas and the TV was in my living room within 32 hours of placing my order. Thank you Newegg and UPS! I ordered my TV days before her's and we're still waiting. (from a different retailer and different shipping company)

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Value priced

Cons: Very poor picture quality. Mine started automatically switching to DVD input when watching TV or using other devices. Tech support doesn't answer the phone and their mailbox is full.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!!! Worth more than $249 paid!!

Pros: At $249 :) This was a price motivated purchase. No quality issues whatsoever. Surprisingly good picture too. Easy to set up. This was bought to be used sparingly in a bedroom without a cable box. Yet it automatically found the available digital channels. Dvd player is an added bonus at this price.

Cons: Dvd player could regulate the volume better. But that’s not a feature every dvd player has either. (you get what you pay for) Sound is adequate. But this would be true on most tv’s this size.

Other Thoughts: If I paid $400 for this I would rate it a 3.5. After looking at quite a few I probably wouldn' rate many 32 inch tv's high either. But for $250 with dvd ability... 5 stars. Was defiantly concerned when the box was opened since the packing could have been much better. The remote was out of the instruction bag and free to hit the screen....

1 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: TV came quickly, makes a nice paper weigh for the table since it didn't work when it arrived.

Cons: Horribly packed, inner box was open already.
TV was DOA.

Other Thoughts: won't be buying another Proscan, glad i bought the extended 2yr warranty for this junker.

4 out of 5 eggsgood price, but lacks a little

Pros: excellent price for a extra set. nice picture, no bad pixs

Cons: Broken speakers, sound is absolutely horrible! I expected this coming in but intended to hook up internal speakers. Alas there is no hook up for external speakers. had to take the set apart and replace the very poor speakers.

Other Thoughts: I would still buy it because it has a very good picture and is priced right

3 out of 5 eggsOk for what I paid.

Pros: Used wall mounted in bedroom. Sound and picture seem fine to me although I am not an AV guru. I'm using basic cable through Co-ax. DVD plays fine too. No dead pixels on mine.

Cons: Co-ax adapter would pull of the unit as it only seemed friction fitted. Maybe that why this unit was returned. Adapter could be pushed back on, but would fall off again with weight of co-ax cable attached. Fixed by tie-clipping co-ax cable to wall bracket mount to remove any tension on the connector and it's stayed in so far.

Other Thoughts: Would have got 4 eggs except for co-ax issue. Did not find any other build quality issues. Got about what I expected in a refurbished unit.
