Pros: Unfortunately the first TV was defective the picture had a light at the top of the screen... It was rather odd

Newegg was really good about it and paid for all the shipping

Other Thoughts: Samsung makes a great television monitor

Pros: - Price is great. $300 for a 40 inch television that's not even on sale
- some really great features like being able to stick a USB into the back to play videos from it. Playback is quick and very responsive with this feature
- doesn't produce much heat
- nice and slim and comes with a big, broad base stand
- audio is pretty good for what it is
- color accuracy is pretty decent

Cons: - Only one con but it's an important one. I can't stress enough, just how poor the picture quality is. It's so bad that it's actually comical. Got this to replace a busted set and it still feels like I have yet to replace it.

While the colors are fine, the ghosting is so incredibly bad, that motion will tend to look like liquid. It's utterly damning of the set. It's so bad that it makes an otherwise great TV pretty close to worthless. I've tried this with interlaced and progressive video, games, movies, blu rays etc and it's painful to watch. I didn't even think people still made LCD screens with ghosting THIS bad. If the scene you are watching has lots of dark to black colors, then forget it. It goes to a whole new level of bad where it looks like the video is an ever-shifting watercolor painting just swirling around. Even people walking slowly on the screen leave these massive trails behind them. It's no wonder that a TV this size is so inexpensive. This must be the worst kind of LCD display possible.

Other Thoughts: All in all, this is a wasteful purchase if you care about video quality in the slightest. Could never suggest this TV to anyone and would only gift it to someone that I hate. Shop around and make sure to get something with acceptable, non deceptive response times.

Pros: Great TV, ordered it on the 23rd, got it on the 24th. I had to replace a broken screen TV I got from wal-mart. Which has horrible customer service these days. They wouldn't honor their Black Friday sale price, or give a replacement. So it was up to Newegg to save the day.

Cons: No Cons.

Cons: I've been battling with the volume on this TV since I got it, but seams to be getting worse..have to unplug HDMI or power cycle to get control of volume.. icons show volume up/dn and mute logo but volume stays constant.. weirdest thing ever.

Pros: Initial price was fairly cheap

Cons: Mash mark on the upper part of the screen.. like someone carried it around by mashing their thumbs on the screen ( no, it wasn't me! ) Can see a bright white strip on the upper part of the screen like the mask is letting you see straight though to the backlight. Going to RMA this.. just hope NewEgg lets me purchase an advanced replacement.. so my relative won't have to be without TV for a week or 2.

Other Thoughts: I saw someone else post a review that mentioned the screen problem.. I thought it was probably a fluke and decided to take the chance... my mistake.. Also, went back to look for that review & it is no longer up.. hmmmmmmmm

Cons: not exactly a bounty of inputs

Other Thoughts: id probably buy it again, bought to replace a vizio

Pros: Lightweight, good price, excellent picture, good sound

Cons: Remote could be less cluttered if it were slightly larger
