Pegasus 9" Portable DTV ST09-B

Pros: It looks good when it's off and makes a nice paper weight

Cons: There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I repeatedly called 626-337-8663 and pressed 0 and I finally got a person. I explained my problem and the lady said they have no customer service and can't help me. She said the only recourse is to go back to NewEgg. Thirty days have passed so I can't go NewEgg. There IS NO WARRANTY, NO SUPPORT and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE on this faulty product. If you don't believe me, call Pegasus at 626-337-8663 and press 0. Leave a message and you'll see you won't get a call back. If you get through to a person, they will tell you they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and they CAN NOT honor their warranty. I don't know what's going on with this company. Perhaps they have gone bankrupt. I don't know how they can get away selling a faulty product and advertising a warranty and then telling you they have no customer service and can't honor their warranty. I hope NewEgg checks into this and stops selling these.

Other Thoughts: If I connect the TV to my cable, it picks up channels fine. Oddly, it can pick up one channel in a town 30 miles away. But it can't pick up our local TV station that is about 2 miles away. As a test, I disconnected the cable from one of my other TVs and it picked up four channels with no antenna attached! This TV definitely has a problem receiving channels over the air. While it does work on cable, it's too small to use in a permanent location. If it doesn't work as a portable, what good is it?

Cons: Doesn't receive most channels over the air. There is something wrong with the tuner in these units. Mine picks up one channel over the air while other TVs I have pick up numerous channels EVEN WITHOUT AN ANTENNA. If you call Pegasus at 626-337-8663, a recording tells you to call their customer support at 888-470-PEGA. If you call that number tell you to call Pegasus at 626-337-8663 because they don't handle their support any longer, but they let you know you can press 0 to leave then a message. I left message on their voicemail but I have yet to receive a call back.

Other Thoughts: If you read the other comments it's obvious there is a serious reception problem with these TVs. What good is a portable TV that doens't receive channels over the air? Why would you want to use this 'portable' TV while connected to cable? This TV is definitely faulty and Pegasus should fix the problem or refund the money. NewEgg should not be selling a known faulty product that does not have support.

Pros: This tv is ten times better than I thought it would be. Straight out of the box, setup was easy. It found 19 stations in my area. And after a little tweaking with the controls, I have a perfectly good picture. I'm glad I bought this. Picture is very good, but sound could be improved greatly with an external speaker or headphones. After seeing what this tv can do, I would call it one of my better buys. This definitely works for me.

Pros: I already wrote a review on this but for some reason it was not showing as a verified owner so after talking to customer service they told be to rewrite, so here it is again.
I first saw this at a friends house and was immediately impressed by the picture and sound this little unit generated. I had to buy this today as soon as I got home.
Another great feature is you can get a car adapter and take this anywhere you go, my buddy and I never missed a game while traveling. The reception on it is phenomenol, I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to get a great portable TV at an unbeatable price. You will not be dissapointed. THANK YOU PEGASUS FOR THIS AWESOME PORTABLE TV!!!!!

Pros: I work many weekends and do not have a lot of things to do, mostly be there to attend to any problem. As a football fan, I take my new "toy" with me. Due to location, I can only pull in the 3 local channels, but I can watch the games. At home I sometimes take it to the kitchen and pull in more channels...I love this little TV and for the price consider it a great bargain"

Pros: Got the tv for my office at work. Although I am in the middle of a huge building with no window, I get 18 stations on my little tv with the antenna included in the box. I am satisifed with the performance and the price I paid for it, on sale for 49 dollars... Can't go wrong. I live in South Florida, this unit will be very useful in case of emergency

Pros: Nice picture if you have a tower in your back yard OOPS I do but no picture.

Cons: I have three TV towers in line of site between 3 and 5 miles this TV can't get a lock on any of them. I bought this TV for emergency use during blackouts but with this TV it will be as back as the room your are in. This TV can't receive any signal over the air without being on a large outside antenna. Like the reviewer before me CHECK OUT THE RETURN POLICY for this to be a true "portable" TV, it needs to have the ability to receive a signal using the included antenna. IMPORTANT: check the return policy before buying! If this set does not work for you and your location, you cannot return it for a refund. ◕︵◕

Pros: Limited Warranty period (parts): 1 year

Cons: Limited Warranty period (labor): 1 year. Nope. In the box there is a letter from Pegasus that states " The warranty printed in the user manual contains a misprint." Its only a 90 day on labor not 1 year. Not good.

Other Thoughts: I don't think I'll use it enough to find out if it will work when i need it. Bad real bad.

Other Thoughts: for this to be a true "portable" tv, it needs to have the ability to receive a signal using the included antenna. this does not. even though i have a 10-mile, line of sight shot to the tv transmission tower, i cannot pick a signal. works fine with cable but that eliminates portability. IMPORTANT: check the return policy before buying! if this set does not work for you and your location, you cannot return it for a refund. :-(
