4 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality Picture...Poor Auria Customer Service

Pros: The picture quality is fantastic in my opinion. The navigation is simple.

Cons: Just 1 dead pixel, but I expect that with most purchases of this type. Can't use the hdmi inputs when connecting to pc because it totally screws it all up. VGA works just fine and I get great quality with it that way.

Other Thoughts: Customer service with Auria is horrible. When my ownership time was less than a year, I had a problem with the power (red) light blinking and tv not powering on. Sometimes I couldn't run it for 4 days or more before it finally was able to turn on. Tried with both the remote and the side button. I called Auria and they wanted me to pay for shipping to them which I couldn't find anything less than $130.00. And they wanted me to pay to ship both ways. After sending them back an email to try and get some kind of compensation for the shipping costs, they totally ignored any more correspondence with me. I called and always got the same guy every time. I think his name was Dan. But eventually he quit taking my calls. Not sure what happened other than I expressed that I thought I should get some kind of shipping discount or at least only have to pay for 1 way shipping. Either way, I still use the tv but never shut it off. It's now my pc monitor instead of my bedroom television.

5 out of 5 eggsa Year later, and running strong

Pros: Over a year later and this TV is still running strong! Great picture, great sound, lots of ports! Also looks to be great for wall mounting:p

Cons: Ports are a pain in the buttox! to get to!

Other Thoughts: Wish this was still available.

5 out of 5 eggsI want another! Love it!

Pros: This is a fantastic screen. I use it for a monitor on my computer. It's bright, sharp and big. I bought it because of the price being less than $300 and have to say I was worried it wouldn't be very good but I was very wrong. After almost four months, it's still working like a champ and on more than five hours a day.

I think the audio is great for a flat screen in fact, it's the best I've seen in a monitor. Usually one would rather rely on external solutions but I use the the embeded speakers for my center channel and my other speakers to complete my 5.1 scenerio.

The remote and the on screen interface are straight forward and easy to use.

Cons: like others, I noticed the finish on the back of the unit as well but who cares? I suppose if you had it in the center of a room where people could see the back, but then - Who Cares? LOL

Those that suffered a dead pixel or two have a right to complain but then that's why one would RMA it and try again right?

Other than that, the picture is fantastic and that's what it's suppose to do, I'd give it six eggs if I could.

I know there are better monitors out there, but not for $264.99 and free shipping.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to get another but OF COURSE! ya get a good product and kick yourself for not getting two when you had the chance.

I hope New Egg considers a re-stock of these bad boys at this fabulous price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: - 1080p in VGA
- has remote
- nice brightness and contrast
- price point
- Newegg shipping, as always, ROXORS YOUR BOXORS.
(ordered on Friday, got it on Monday)

Cons: - other said that they got 1080p using HDMI?
- mine can't, i have use my video controller and shrink the screen, it would seem, it's not 1080p for HDMI? (minus 1 egg)
- if HDMI is really 1080p .. why i gotta adjust it?
- i bought it for use as monitor for now only with possible use for TV in the near future, won't know for sure until then.
-backside paint is really quite cruddy.

Other Thoughts: Was looking for 120MHz for this price... as there was/is similar price per inch for a 44inch at wallyworld but with 120MHz option.
Now, about a month later, have this same size WITH 120MHz at the other animal direct e-store . OH WELL, can't win 'em all.
I have to pay tax ... which makes this almost a great deal.
This product is probably E-O-L anyhow.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I tried hard to be a snob and find something wrong with this TV. After all it was cheap, from a unknown company etc. I just can't; so far this tv has exceeded all of my expectations. Set up was a snap, HD looks great even with Directv. The speakers even sound ok in it. So basically would I recommend this TV to a friend, absolutely.

Cons: Well actually the manual is a little weak, but not enough to discourage me from recommending the TV.

5 out of 5 eggsThe picture gets better

Pros: Price... Please read my previous review for this product. This is an update.

Cons: Nothing, besides expecting cheap construction and materials, you get what you pay for. There are no cons, expect to get what you pay for, hope for no dead pixels, and go with the odds

Other Thoughts: After several months, I'm not sure how or why, but a little breaking it in... The picture looks better than it did when I pulled it out of the box. I am glad I made this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful TV for the Price

Pros: Very good picture quality. Sound is good and loud for an LCD TV. Glossy screen makes the colors pop. Swivel stand. Good amount of connections for a smaller TV.

Cons: Slow tuning on digital QAM channels. Audio out is optical only.

3 out of 5 eggsLove the TV, however Newegg disappoints

Pros: 1080p for $260 can't beat that.

Cons: Came with a stuck green pixel right in the middle of the screen.

The back really is cheap looking

Other Thoughts: Contacted Newegg and they were going to let me RMA. Then I noticed (prior to sending TV back) that they were out of stock. Called them. Told me how yeah they don't know when they'll get more or even IF they'll get more. I said well what will happen if I send it back and you don't get any more? Oh well, we'll refund your money. So I can either send the TV back and lose out on 1080p for $260 and get my money back or I can suck it up and try not to stare at that stupid green dot on the middle of my television screen.

Thanks a lot, Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly Satisfied!

Pros: The TV was $270 with free shipping when I bought it. Extremely cheap. Also, I didn't get any dead pixels as some others seem to have experienced. There are a lot of handy buttons on the remote...more than I expected. The picture quality is great, and runs well on my computer via VGA. Also, there are a ton of inputs in the back, which is so unexpected for such a cheap TV.

This TV's also great at powering down automatically when it's not in use. When I put my PC in standby, the screen displays "No Signal" and has a 30 sec countdown, then turns off. Very handy.

Cons: There are no huge cons to this that I've noticed. Anything I list here is being a bit too critical.

The stand could be more functional. It does twist from side to side, but having some more options would be useful.

The sound isn't too great, but this is to be expected. My older, standard definition TV actually has better sound, but this is what external speakers are for...
On that note, there aren't too many options for connecting the TV to other speakers...I still need to experiment with this though.

Doesn't come with an HDMI cable...be prepared for that. I think that's probably the worst thing, but still to be expected for only $270.

Other Thoughts: I have this connected to my computer to be used as a primary monitor. I bought an HDMI to DVI cable so that it could be plugged into my video card without using VGA, but this yields strange results...the "recommended" resolution turns into 1366x768, and when turned up to 1920x1080, the refresh rate scales down to 30, interlaced, and the picture is "zoomed in" so that I can't see the whole screen.

I don't get any of these problems when using just a VGA cord. I figured the quality would improve if I were using a high definition connection, but in fact, it only created problems. I may be doing something wrong, and I'm probably misinformed on some level, but I wanted to say this so that no one else makes the same mistake.

I am overall extremely satisfied with this TV and I would definitely recommend it to others at the price I paid.
