5 out of 5 eggsGreat value TV

Pros: With a little research, I chose this brand over the rest because this companies makes the TV's for the other brands. I pulled it out of the box, set it up, turned it on, did a brief adjustment on the picture... and this TV rocks! If I had spent thousands on this TV, I would be a little disappointed. But, I put my picture quality up against any Samsung, LG, or Sony. With 3 HDMI's, I can have my satellite, playstation, and DVD/blue ray player hooked up. The sound quality is good, even without my surround sound.

Cons: So far, none really. It's done everything I've asked it to do.

Pros: None really as I am not happy

Cons: 2 out of 4 tv's did not work. One was cracked when opened.TV's were ordered and then sat for 20 days upon arrival so by the time installer got to them it was past 30 day grace period to return! Oh well...

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy!

Pros: Works good & good TV for the price. Look, it's not a top of the line set, but for those of us who really can't afford or justify a high priced TV, this will do the job just fine. This is now used as the TV in my master bedroom (have a Sony 55" in living room as my "Primary TV"), so it doesn't get much use any more. Was in living room for a few months & I was happy with it there (I needed help swapping the two, which took a while).

Cons: Because of some back-light bleeding around the edges (mostly noticeable in dark scenes...) I did need to adjust the back-light level & possibly a few other easy settings. The picture looked way better after a few adjustments. Whatever bleeding that may be left after a few adjustments is not an issue (for those of us who are not super-picky). You might see a little bleeding in night or real dark scenes, but I bet you won't even notice if you're not looking for it.

Other Thoughts: Best buy for the size! If you are poor or just cheap, buy one!

3 out of 5 eggsOk for a 50 inch TV

Pros: Low price for a 50' TV, great sound, multiple HDMI ports, one usb port, VGA pc input, sound jack. Added a Chromecast who runs at 1080P on it to watch online movies via netflix.

Cons: Slow start (7-10seconds from button push on remote), resolution not recognized at 1080P on any of my pc's( desktops, laptops, and a tf300T tablet). Fixed stand, does not swivel.

Other Thoughts: Good buy, be prepared to pay environmental fees for this product if buying in Canada.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Picture and Great price

Pros: Excellent picture resolution. In fact I like it better than the two Samsungs TV that I have. I don't think you can get a better TV for the price. I did have slight problem after 9 months. Factory representative, James Chow quickly had the problem fixed. He provided me with the best service that I have ever received from any appliance manufacturer..I would highly recommend this TV to any prospective buyer.

Cons: NONE

1 out of 5 eggsChangHong 50" LED TV

Pros: Nice screen tv if it last

Cons: Does not last

Other Thoughts: I bought this TV back in Dec 2013. It is broken and cannot turn on. Called customer assistance and no answer and no return call. Cannot process warranty even they offer 12 months warranty. Please do not buy from this Manufacture. Will never trust this Chinese Brand anymore.

2 out of 5 eggsVery low quality

Pros: Cheap, cheap, cheap.

Cons: Heavy, very low build quality, lots of vignette around the corners and light bleeding around the edges

Other Thoughts: Easily one of the worst quality televisions I've ever owned. Unwatchable. Returned it in favor of a Vizio that's infinitely better quality for $100 more.

3 out of 5 eggsUm, meh...

Pros: Price

Cons: Poor Color Reproduction
Poor Contrast
Screen tearing
Visible Banding
Uneven Backlight
Cheap Power Cord

Other Thoughts: I did not receive a defective unit. This review is based on a brand new working unit. This TV is not a deal. You get what you pay for.

Just a cheap remote, it came with changhong batteries.
Only buttons I tested were Menu, Volume and Channel and they worked ok.

50 inches diagonally, what can I say. Depending on how far away you are sitting, this TV may be too large for optimal viewing.
If its gonna be across the room more than 8 feet, then it may be OK, otherwise get the 42".

Still Image quality
The still image quality is probably better than some junk at w mart, but despite adjusting the settings, the colors are over saturated and incorrect.
Very Poor contrast
Uneven back light makes the images brighter in some areas of the screen.

Video Quality
Visible banding due to uneven back light
Screen tearing when connected to apple tv or computer
1080p YES, sharp , crisp, YES!! But colors are awful, despite adjusting the settings, it gave me a headache.
I guess this is subjective, and some people will be happy to fork out cash for this, and stand by it. But not me.

Sound Quality
This sound will get most people by. Loud, no bass though, bass just vibrates the entire set.

I noticed the screen was pretty glossy.
If you are not a fan of glossy screens, this TV is not for you.
Its not GLASS reflective glossy, just pretty glossy.
Box was OK, packing was OK, pulled out the TV to find the power cord attached to the unit.
The cord looked like a cheap hair dryer cord.
Not a deal breaker, just be careful not to crimp the cable because you cannot replace the power cord.
The TV itself looks very nice from the front.
Thin bezel. Beautiful glass stand.

I used the 3 HDMI ports, but nothing else.

I am one of the many people who fell for the price, and I must admit, you for sure get what you pay for. I ordered this on the 24th of June, arrived on the 28th of June, played with it for one day, and sold it the next day.
You've got to tweak the settings like many people said, but its like you are constantly in that menu tweaking sharpness, contrast etc, for almost every show or input connected.
If you have another 1080P TV already and you are just buying this on a whim, you are going to be severely disappointed with this one.
It does everything a TV should do yes, but it does not do it well enough when compared to something you may already have.
Of course, you may have paid more for your other TV, but the point I am making is why downgrade and spend money to do so.
4K TV's are on the horizon, I would not advise anyone to put your hard earned money on this yesteryear junk.
From what I've read, most people feel like if they get a year out of it then it paid for itself. Hey good for you. I don't earn your money so I cant spend it.
As much as I tried to like this TV, I am happy its gone like the wind and my money is back

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price

Pros: Price is great.
Light weight.
Thin profile.
Easy to move and wall mount.

Cons: LED Back light is not consistent
A lot of glare outdoors, but most screens have this problem

Other Thoughts: This TV was great for the price. My needs were for an outdoor patio and camping TV. It works great for those uses. Not concerned with getting it dirty, finger prints and not a huge loss if stolen or damaged.

I would not use this for my living room main TV. There are inconsistencies in the LED back lighting and they are very apparent when in a dark environment.

With it's faults I am still impressed with the price vs quality I would purchase another one for the uses I need for it. It's very light for moving and easy to setup.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Clear picture, great sound.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why some reviewers complain about the sound quality, it is plenty clear and loud at 25% volume. Owned for approx 45 days and have no problem. Thank you Newegg!
