5 out of 5 eggsGood quality, good price

Pros: This TV has a good panel, accurate and nice color, sharp image. Much better than VIZIO D-series. Also its speaker system is good, unexpected good, you don't have to buy a sound bar (like VIZIO)
Reasonable design of interfaces, enough HDMI interfaces and USB port.

Cons: Didn't find.

1 out of 5 eggsDied one month after warranty expiration

Pros: Cheap price, easy setup, side panel for connections.

Cons: Cheap quality. While it seemed like a steal in March of '14 it didn't last very long. I kept the tv unplugged and protected inside, only took it out on the patio for watching football and movies, 6-7 times total. Tried to use it in April to watch a movie with friends and it wouldn't turn on. After a few weeks of searching around online I got someone to review it at a shop, the entire main board was fried, cost to replace was only $40 less than the original price of the tv ($390). Literally lasted 13 months and only because I used it so infrequently, there were no broken capacitors, just bad hardware. Avoid this brand, my Sharp and Vizio tvs are always plugged in and have lasted 6+ years each.

4 out of 5 eggsCan't Go Wrong For This Price

Pros: + Lowest priced 1080p LED flat screen I've ever seen.
+ It works.
+ Side ports.
+ Looks pretty good (small bezel, inconspicuous branding).

Cons: - Color range isn't as good as it could be.
- Some settings aren't persistent (PCM and SPDIF audio outputs won't stay set).
- No way to turn off the auto-off feature.

Other Thoughts: Picked it up for almost $200 off list price. How could one argue with a 50" TV for that deal? Of course the colors won't be like a $3,000 set, but I doubt you'll notice unless you're doing some serious side-by-side comparisons.

I've used it daily for almost two years and (knock on wood) it appears to still be going strong. If I get five years out of it, I'll be happy!

2 out of 5 eggsOne gets what one pays for

Pros: + Geat price
+ In general, the picture quality is good

Cons: - There is a black dead spot on the screen. About 1/4" wide
- I have not yet received my $35 rebate
- Customer service is simply non existent
- I had to replace the first unit I received because the remote did not work
- The colors are noticeably not as good as a Samsung, side by side.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for, and you are not paying a lot...

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Customer Service, Extremely Satisfied!!

Pros: The TV has performed very well for the past 1.5 years since I bought it as a gift for my mother. My mother had a chance to contact their customer support one year ago to help with changing a setting on the backlight. They were very courteous, knowledgeable and quickly resolved her problem.

The reason for the review now is that I had a problem with the TV when moving it away from the wall to add in another connection. The Coax cable connection broke away from the TV. The local cable company had changed some of their hardware and may have overtightened the connection, however it shouldn't have broken off regardless. I called tech support again, but only got a full voicemail box. I emailed the person from a year ago, with little expectation of help.

What I did get was a phone call from their current technician who was forwarded the email with my problem! Imagine a television manufacturing company calling you to help resolve an issue, I was very shocked and pleasantly surprised. Their resolution was to ship me a replacement main control board that is currently on the way.

Cons: Full voicemail that is unable to take messages.

Other Thoughts: I've seen comments that people are a little afraid of purchasing from a newer manufacturer. I am completely satisfied with the TV and can recommend their products.

3 out of 5 eggsNo Support

Pros: Good picture for the money - some bleed.

Cons: No support. Tomorrow will be the one year point. Been a decent iff not exceptional TV, but now the power indicator blinks 8 times before it turns on. Probably means something bad, but emailing Chnaghong support is like emailing a black hole. Info in, none out. Oh well ehat did I expect. It was cheap.

Other Thoughts: Was it worth it for one year of life. Probably not.

1 out of 5 eggsDied barely a week after the one year warranty

Pros: Price, side facing ports, lightweight, easy to mount

Cons: Kept this unplugged 99% of the time, watched maybe five movies in the past year on it in my spare room. Plugged it in to have some friends over for a movie night and it was dead. Side power button and remote wouldn't start it, outlets worked fine, waste of cash compared to my old sharps and vizios that are 5+ years old and still running daily.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Not too heavy
Great size
Adequate Bezel Width
Great input options
Easy to configure
Sound is pretty decent too

Wonderful color, great brigtness and lots of options for setting up.

Cons: The stand is GLASS, which is kind of a delicate substrate for it.
Is not a "smart" TV - so you will have to provide your own "Netflix / Hulu" streaming etc.
Off-brand with an almost comical "Chinese" sounding name - But it adds to its charm.

Other Thoughts: Pretty decent for the price! I'm currently using it as a computer monitor for gaming / entertainment and I haven't experienced any issues with it. Some are saying the stand is flimsy - Maybe they didn't set it up right because mine is solid. However it is glass, so that could be a factor.

The packaging was excellent.

Manufacturer Response:

The stand is made of thick glass which is tempered, so it is very tough and scratch resistant. The glass has a film over it which can be removed to provide a glossy finish.
