Pros: I will be honest I was a little scared to make this purchase based on other users reviews but if I could give this tv 4.5 stars I would. Don't get me wrong this set it not without its shortcomings but overall you can't beat this deal. I hooked this set up to my cable turned it on and was initially dissapointed. I tried a few of the built in settings for picture and played a few different programs. A little college football, a SciFi movie in space and a more static drama. There were some artifacts I noticed in the football game, the blacks were harsh in the sci fi but then the static drama made me perk up a bit, I was amazed at the smoothness of the skin tones and the overall look of the picture was super crisp. I went into the users settings and made some adjustments. Any of the DNR or other picture enhancements I turned to the low setting. Turned the contrast and saturation of colors down and bumped up the backlight a bit I also turned the strength of the sharpness down. Thanksgiving we watched football, the parade and the dog show. The colors in the parade popped and was a joy to watch, you could see every hair on those dogs with very little pixelation and the football game was sharp and smooth all of the artifacts from the previous days college game were gone.

Cons: After about a year of use I began to get some flickering that other users had mentioned. I had purchased the three year warranty for this unit and since it is direct from china there apparently are no parts. Warranty services is giving me a new TV.

Other Thoughts: If you want a great uhd TV and don't need all the bells and whistles get this set. As 4k makes its way to the masses this thing can only get better.

Pros: Thin TV

Cons: This TV stopped working only after a few uses, approx. turned on 10 times over 2 months. I tried contacting Changhong to open a warranty claim. After several calls and emails, I heard nothing. 2 months later and I still haven't had any luck getting into contact. If your TV works, good for you, if it breaks you will be out of luck. I would give a warning to not purchase items from Changhong. It appears they make faulty products and there is no way to get in touch with them. After looking through several reviews, it appears that Newegg needs to investigate this since this seems to be a common complaint with product.

Pros: My 55 inch is perfect for what I needed it for. Price is great it's wonderful for movies and TV viewing. I get a new TV every four years and this is a perfect TV. The price is wonderful. Shipping was within just a couple of days of my purchase and set up was very easy.

Cons: I have absolutely no complaints.

Other Thoughts: For a larger TV at this price I would recommend it every day.

Cons: After about a month of owning the TV, I started to experience green flickering static rectangles that would appear on the screen for a few seconds, and then eventually go away. When I contacted the company (the number provided on the changhongusa website) it transferred me to a repair shop. The first thing you will notice when calling is that the name of the company is not mentioned. After leaving several messages and sending emails to both their Support and Info addresses, I never received a response.
At the 6th month mark, my TV stopped turning on. Once again I tried calling and emailing multiple times to open a Warranty Claim. I never received a response.
It is amazing that a company can function in this manner. The company manufactured a faulty product and it is apparently impossible to get them to honor their warranty.

Pros: It looks nice hanging on the wall.

Cons: Hmmm where do I begin. Oh I know, when this TV completely went out and will not display video. You push the power button and it sits there for about 5 seconds then the LED in the front blinks 8 times with no picture. Audio works (kinda, as we all know audio for this TV is terrible) but again no video. I found the Changhong customer service email and phone number which I have emailed and called several times with absolutely no response. Then I filled out a "Request to release contact information" with Newegg to allow them to contact Changhong on my behalf and have not heard anything from Newegg. I basically now have a $700 shinny paper weight I can do nothing with. I have only had the TV for 6 months.. Not a good choice in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: I feel if companies continue to sell this TV from this manufacture then they should know that this is reflecting on their reputation for allowing manufactures to get away with this. We as consumers have never heard of brands like this but rely on a trusted company to sell quality products based on their reputation.

Pros: Very narrow bezel. HD is very high quality sometimes (but see cons).

Cons: There is a lag between the audio and the video, which is very distracting when watching a show.

Also, now there is a few rectangles of static of varying size that show up in a portion of the right hand side of the screen. Width is about 1/3 the screen starting from the far right edge and height is about 6-8 inches. Almost a blinking of a static square.

Pros: None

Cons: Manufacturer does not have a warranty claims department in the US. All done in China. Have fun shipping your defective TV to China or Taiwan. They do have a "customer service" rep in the LA area, but works out of a garage. Extremely poor customer service.

Other Thoughts: If you buy this TV and it has a problem, throw it away because you're not going to get any help or RMA from Changhong.

Pros: Nice looking TV until you turn it on.

Cons: Annoying AUDIO DELAY

Other Thoughts: Should have listened to the warnings, I made mistake. Now I have to return it.

Pros: Set the set up as described in bernard c. review of 6/6/2015. Beautiful picture. Have only had the set for a day, but no evident problems. Just to be cautious though, I purchased the 2 year extended warranty from Newegg.

Cons: Had communication problems with the carrier for delivery so delivery was delayed. Shipper contact number provided by Newegg in shipping notification had been disconnected. Also, received erroneous information from Newegg on-line chat in that signature was indeed required for delivery to be scheduled.

Other Thoughts: If the set lasts for the three years under warranty, I will have gotten my money's worth. Got it during one of Newegg's sales at a very good price.

Pros: Love my new 4k

Cons: The other posers in this review section are complaining about high-quality contrast and resolution. This TV is not a gaming TV so if your an intense gamer and have a very picky taste, dont get this TV. But for the other 90% of the normal enterprise/consumer people, this TV is for you for sure.
