5 out of 5 eggsAwesome set!

This review is from: Changhong 32" Class 1080p LED HDTV - LED32YC1600UA

Pros: Owned this set right around a year, give or take. For the price? Fantastic. Better speakers than most flat screens offer! I still have a sound bar hooked up but it sounds great without it (my scepter 4K has the worst speakers I've ever heard in my life). Picture is good, colors are great, no dead pixels or light bleeding. Remote works well, IR sensor is a little funky and requires direct line of sight but not a huge issue. Menus very easy to browse through.

Cons: NO OPTICAL PORT. This was devastating when I first tried to hook up a brandy new Polk soundbar I got, but luckily I have just my PS4 hooked up and the PS4 has an optical. Be aware though!

Other Thoughts: For the price, it's awesome. Don't expect any smart features or Samsung quality though. Great budget tv!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product under $200

This review is from: Changhong 32" Class 1080p LED HDTV - LED32YC1600UA

Pros: Price, Full HD LED, Multiple video ports, Narrow bazel, Good surround sound, Usb reader

Cons: Short power cord

Other Thoughts: I have been using this TV 3 months primarily for PS4 gaming. No ghosting, no dead pixel, no any other issues found so far. I adjusted its default settings a bit before actually using it. For a 32" TV that is under $200, I have nothing to complain. It's a great product.

5 out of 5 eggsGood value

This review is from: Changhong 32" Class 1080p LED HDTV - LED32YC1600UA

Pros: Really good picture. You'll be surprised. Packaged well and received it quickly.

Cons: Sound isn't great but it's plenty loud enough.

Other Thoughts: These guys seem like an off brand here, but actually they are the 2nd largest TV manufacturer in China.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't listen to negative reviews

This review is from: Changhong 32" Class 1080p LED HDTV - LED32YC1600UA

Pros: Only cost me $164 from a black friday sale and pretty blown away by the quality. Definitely exceeded expectations for a TV under 200 bucks. Has all the inputs you'll need and the picture is crisp once you tweak the settings a bit. HD video from my HTPC via dvi > hdmi looks awesome. TV tuner found a lot more OTA channels than my previous setup(HTPC with a PCI tv tuner card). The local stations in 1080 with a nice, strong signal look great. Stand is easy to attach and seems very sturdy.

Cons: The only cons aren't really a big deal but worth mentioning. As other reviews mentioned, the speakers aren't very good. I have a nice soundbar so that was never an issue for me. I wasn't expecting a tv under 200 bucks to have great sounding speakers. But I found that switching the sound to user control and tweak the EQ a lot and the speakers start to sound more natural(Leave 100hz at 100% and dial back the rest of the frequencies back to like 15-20%). Same goes for the video settings. The factory settings out of the box for this tv don't really make sense and absolutely require tweaking of the video and audio settings. The video settings that worked for me under "PictureMode" are: Contrast 100, Brightness - 50, Sharpness - 0, Tint - 0, Saturation - 65. Also I believe another default setting was being in EnergyMode, which you'll definitely wanna turn off.

Also, as others stated, the response time doesn't make this suitable for gaming. I didn't buy this for that purpose but if you're thinking about doing so, get a monitor and not a tv.

Other Thoughts: If you want a really nice tv for under 200 bucks, don't hesitate. Like you I never heard of Changhong but I could care less what the brand is, as long as it looks good and works well. And I read enough positive reviews to figure it was worth the risk. And it was so far. Have only had the TV for a week so I can't comment on how long it'll last but I'm feeling good about my decision to buy this. Are there other 32" 1080 TV's that look nicer than this TV? Sure but those cost 400-500 bucks. If you're thinking about getting this, just do it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV at the price

This review is from: Changhong 32" Class 1080p LED HDTV - LED32YC1600UA

Pros: Good picture. No dead pixels. Works great as a monitor for Netflix/Crunchyroll/Prime.

Cons: Short stand...?

Other Thoughts: I replaced my 720p tv with this one. Use it as my third monitor on my rig for streaming tv, movies, youtube, twitch, etc. Good quality so far as I can see. For the $200 I paid for it I couldn't be happier.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst TV I've Ever Purshased

This review is from: Changhong 32" Class 1080p LED HDTV - LED32YC1600UA

Pros: Great when it works

Cons: Stopped working after three days.

Other Thoughts: I used the tv for three days with no issues, then all of a sudden, it would not display picture. All I would see was black and grey lines running up and down the screen on every input. Now the tv shuts off by itself about thirty seconds after I turn it on. The manufacturer is useless for support. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS TV. Spend the money on a brand with a better reputation. I thought this would be a decent quality TV because Changhong is one of the biggest TV manufacturers in Asia, but I was wrong.
