3 out of 5 eggsDidn't work out for me

Pros: It does turn on.

Cons: I bought two of these to furnish two tenant rooms. I have FIOS. I hooked them up via HDMI, and on both TVs, the sound cuts off after a commercial plays. Really weird. Have to power cycle to get the sound to come back on.
Had to replace both with another brand. Will give them to someone who doesn't have cable.

4 out of 5 eggsvery good TV

Pros: the price, image quality, energy efficient, number of ports in the back, nice remote, easy to program

Cons: the sound, but can be fixed by adjusting the equalizer and other sound settings to make it better, or you could just by a sound bar or TV speakers from Newegg for quality sound.

Other Thoughts: this product would have gotten 5 eggs if it wasn't for the sound quality as mentioned in my cons section, but everything else about this TV is awesome.

2 out of 5 eggsOk TV

Pros: Every connection you could want on a tv. Cheap. Works great for classic gaming!

Cons: Very low viewing range - must be square in front of it. Not good enough resolution for using with a PC. Speakers are junk.

Other Thoughts: I wanted a tv that could be used for gaming (older systems) and pc use. Works great for gaming - AV inputs work great! Unfortunately, the image quality is not good enough for use with a pc. Your eyes will hurt after a while reading off this tv. I played with all resolutions and settings, and could not make it acceptable. 1080p will not render right when using the vga input, and so you are left using lower resolutions that are quite blurry. If you need a tv for gaming, and the viewing angle is not an issue, go ahead and get this one, otherwise look elsewhere.

3 out of 5 eggs"OK" TV for a spare room

Pros: Price, lightweight, energy efficient, and sufficient video inputs. No dead pixels!

Cons: I am not sure I would call this a 1080P TV. Although it technically achieves this, it does not render the pixels / picture at true 1080p. The picture looks similar to that of a 720P image on a 1080p monitor (not crisp at all and distorted). The colors definitely need some serious adjustment. Sound is probably the worst I have heard on a TV, but I was not expecting stellar either. The component input will not work no matter what I plug in.

Other Thoughts: All in all, for the price paid, it has been a good tv for the purpose I bought it. Not worth returning it for an input that I am not going to "need" but would have liked to use. I would not count on this as a backup PC monitor unless I happen to have gotten a really bad unit due to image quality.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV for the price!

Pros: This TV has a VGA, HDMI, coaxial, and component connections for a very low price.

Cons: I have color corrected video for several years and I notice the colors are a little off, but other than colorists, not many people will ever notice. This is not an IPS monitor. Recommended for any purpose except graphic design and video production.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this for anyone needing a low priced TV or computer monitor.

3 out of 5 eggsupstar tv

Pros: It works O.K.

Cons: No user Manual, Tech support non-existent-- This model discontinued 2 years ago...support really rude. Finally able to find one guy who had a beat-up copy of user manual and sent it to me.

Other Thoughts: Old discontinued model that has sat somewhere in a warehouse for two years. Works OK for now . Not really a bargain.

4 out of 5 eggsOne of them worked great!

Pros: - The one that works is AWESOME right out of the box, full 1080p 60hz.
- It's fairly pretty to look at.

Cons: - The second one I ordered was DOA, not sure if it was damaged during shipping or if it's just poorly made. But Newegg being the awesome chaps that they are replacing it for me within 10 days. So no big deal.

Other Thoughts: I trust newegg, I don't always trust non name brands but if I purchase them through newegg, I know there won't be an issue even if there is one =)
