Then just after the one year warranty it quit extracting water at a satisfactory rate. Other Thoughts: Buy the KUL. It's cheap and works wonderfully. xelius 6/8/2012 6:18:12 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 3/5	Rating: 2/5Poorly made Pros: When it turns on, it works fine. This is the only reason it got two eggs. Cons: It seems not to be able to handle any sort of USB hub and the fact that I have front panels in my case. If I connect those, the system will not power on. If I run only with the motherboard connected to my drives and rear USB connections it works as long as my keyboard (Apple wired USB which is also a hub) is not connected. So, I have to disconnect the keyboard, press the power button several times and then it comes on. Within the first 6 hours of use I was able to lower my basement humidity from 70% to 50% in a very large basement (about 1500 square feet). It was easy to set up, and simply worked. Cons: Noise. The fan noise is fine. Even on turbo. Yet the compressor noise is annoying. It creates a high pitched rattle. If you plan on using it in an area where you will spend a fair amount of time, I would not recommend it. For me it works fine. I simply need to knock down the humidity to eliminate mold and it won't be needed all the time. Yet the noise would be rather annoying if you had to be near it for extended periods. The other negative is the small length of hose for continuous use instead of the bucket. Yet you can always buy more hose for cheap.
