Features
Micro-Induction Cooktop provides the best in cooktop performance, safety and efficiency. Induction heats as electricity flows through a coil to produce a magnetic field under the ceramic plate. When a ferromagnetic cookware is placed on the ceramic surface, currents are induced in the cookware and instant heat is generated due to the resistance of the pan. Heat is generated to the pan only and no heat is lost. As there are no open flames, inductions are safer to use than conventional burners. Once cookware is removed, all molecular activity ceases and heating is stopped immediately.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks ok

Pros: Cheaper in price. The lower wattage of 1300 is ok compared to the 1500 watt models.

Cons: I did not have an official magnetic induction pot and was mashing grain for beer with a big stainless non magnetic many gallon pot using a 2" x 6" piece of RA2205 nickel steel that is magnetic in the pot to warm the mash. I could not depend on the tempertue setting which went from 140 then 160 and I wanted 150. I set at 120, then set to 160 till till the mash reached 150F then turn back to 120 so I would not burn the mash as I thought 140 would add heat too many times. mashing is work but it really is not the fault of this stovetop and was easier than a conventional electric range top.

Other Thoughts: I would like to try a real induction pot but for mashing I know steady temps matter and for food it does not.
