5 out of 5 eggsResearch what type of heater you need

Pros: Perfect heater to maintain room temps. Quiet and safe to touch on LOW. Perfect for a small bedroom heater to run at night.

Cons: Intial smell if you run it on high. Just put it outside (if dry) and turn it on HIGH for 4-6hours. Bring it in and use it on either LOW or MED and no concerns. High will usually cause some smell for the first month of using it on HIGH.

Other Thoughts: Someone mention "Unfortunately, this model comes with an extremely bright green safety or "On" light (which simply means that the unit is plugged into the wall). You can't turn the light off."

This is simply not true or he received a defective unit. The ONLY green light on this model is the COMFORT Temp button which you can see in the images provided. IF you leave this COMFORT mode ON then yes the Green light will be on. I don't use this setting on mine. I put it on LOW , close the bedroom door and set it around setting 2. Slow to heat up but perfect to run for my bedroom.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works great and the price is good. The cable is thick and seems solid, not flimsy at all. Sound is crisp and clear.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Just Fine, Happy.

Pros: quiet. robust heating. best for small to medium sized rooms. Crank it up high until room is warm, then click just one element on and set it to 2 to maintain heat. Colortemp button is nice, but better for VERY cold nights or if you like to sweat at night...colortemp button made it about 80 degrees in the 14x14 bedroom when it was 30F outside. Used two of these units all winter in two bedrooms last year. Kept the house at 60F and was toasty in our bedrooms at nearly 80F. Electric bill went down about $30+/month plus no sore throat/itchy sneezing from the central heat blowing dry air. Buy a small fan on low if you want to disperse heat a bit more.
Please don't turn it on and expect it to heat 1000 sq feet in a central windowed area. Doesn't work like that. Best for small-medium sized bedrooms. For an open area I'd suggest a heat dish if you can tolerate the on/off noise of the elements heating up. Oil heaters are so much quieter.

Cons: you can hear the oil bubbling at the beginning a little.
Wheels are not as easy to use on carpet. Moves better on laminate/hardwood floors. A timer would be nice, but I just turn it off during the day. A thermostat would be nice too, but really after 1-2 times of use you get the idea and just set it where you like...usually around 1-2 with just one element switch on. DON'T LEAVE IT ON ALL DAY WITH BOTH SWITCHES ON AND FULL BLAST...IT'S 1500 WATTS, THAT'S A TON OF ENERGY TO LEAVE ON FULL BLAST ALL DAY AND IT'S NOT INTENDED FOR THAT TYPE OF USE.

Other Thoughts: My toddlers don't burn themselves on it.

4 out of 5 eggsDissapointed by Newegg.

Pros: Works just like this add says. get what you pay for.No brainer to operate. Have it in my dining room next to me and the PC. warmed up the room3 degrees more then without it. room is now at 70 degrees and holding. outside it's around 46degrees.

Cons: Heater isn't as hot as I thought it would be. But works well anyways.

Other Thoughts: My biggest con is with newegg. Didn't even get a tracking number sent to my E-Mail. Just said they accepted my payment and that was that. A tracking number is important to me because I live in a neighborhood where kids will steal things right off your porch when you home even.Tracking number lets me know if I need to stay home and wait for package or I can go and do my choirs.Maybe just an over site. Newegg rocks so only quarter of an egg off for this.

5 out of 5 eggsDeLonghi Is the Best

Pros: Silent
Fast
Compact

Cons: Bright Safety Light

Other Thoughts: With the exception of a Lasko circulating tower heater I bought a few years ago on sale, I have never owned any other type of space heaters beside the radiant/radiator made by DeLonghi. Buying something with a fan--for winter use--seems counterproductive. I have often used other DeLonghi models for ten+ years with no problem, and I bought this one expecting the same perfect quiet and heat. Unfortunately, this model comes with an extremely bright green safety or "On" light (which simply means that the unit is plugged into the wall). You can't turn the light off. That being said, it is still the BEST space heater you will find, especially if you paid $59 total on Newegg. The only better space heater that I can imagine would be a DeLonghi without this annoyingly bright light.

2 out of 5 eggsConsumes a lot electricity

Pros: Safe to use.

Cons: Very inefficient method to heat. Buy only if you intend to heat a small room.

Other Thoughts: Bought two for my house and received an electric bill over $400.

5 out of 5 eggsNice heat

Pros: Warm heat, that goes to the bones. Not like the dry heat of electrics.
Has an timer switch off
The heat covers my small office well.

Cons: Takes about an hour to heat up the room
Though it has wheels, and not very heavy to lift, it is not light either.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: Churns out heat, has a thermostat, rolls out of the way (hardwood floors) when I want to move it.

Cons: Nunya

Other Thoughts: Not sure wheels would work too well on carpet - not a big deal, just pick it up. Wished it was programmable, so I could turn it off at certain times of the day. Oh well, for $45, I can't complain too much!

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Comfort

Pros: So quiet you forget it is on ...until you leave your room and go into the unheated portion of the house!

Not the dry heat like you get from non oil filled electric heaters , no dry throat or stuffy nose.

Safe. I have several dogs and don't have to worry about it being knocked over and becoming a fire hazard.

Cons: Slow to heat up , even on max setting.

Been a year and still has slight smell.
Not noticeable unless you leave room then go back in.

Other Thoughts: Bought this last winter to help save on heating bills and it has done that. I keep it in bedroom or home office and it works well after you give it a while.

Pros: Safe, Well priced, Efficient

Would be nice to set the temperature, rather than setting numbers. But for the price you cant have that!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: got it for $44 in Dec'10
$34 after rebate this year is awesome.
