1 out of 5 eggsDOA!

Pros: None.

Cons: Pump wont operate. A hour on the phone with DL to no benefit.

So I have to return it for $60 shipping.

Other Thoughts: Buy something different, somewhere else.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks very well

Pros: - Really pulls out moisture. Filled tank in one day. Faster than others I own that are even larger.
- Quietest of the three I own. You hear the fan but not the compressor.
- The pump feature is really nice. This pump doesnt wait until the bucket is full to pump. It pumps the water out without filling the bucket. My Winnix only pumps when the bucket is full.

Cons: - Fan is the noisy. Although you can cut it down by using low speed. No compressor vibration or hum though.

Other Thoughts: I have yet to own a dehumidifier that was silent. This one is the quietest I have owned and really removes the water.

4 out of 5 eggsDeLongi DD45P

Pros: Works great dehumidifying the air in my basement. Modern design. Pump system works very well.

Cons: Connector for the pump house is better to be at rear of the unit.

Other Thoughts: I gave only 4 stars only because I had to redirect pump house connector to the rear of the unit. Originally house connects at the lower front. Which I think is little bit ugly.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat dehumidifier with a few caveats

Pros: I've had this dehumidifier running for about a week and it has definitely sucked out a ton of moisture from my basement. The pump is what sold me on this model over others with larger capacity. I have a drain, but I can now move this wherever I want and pump the water out without having to worry about emptying a bucket.

Cons: The drawbacks so far have been limited in my location (an unused basement room), but they may affect others:
- loud: this thing is super-loud on the high fan setting
- hot: it blows out a ton of heat, but not a problem for my cool basement
- does not come back on after power outage. This is the biggest one for me as we have frequent outages and it must be restarted manually. This is going to be a pain when we are out of town.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Dehumidifier

Pros: This dehumidifer performs great. Maintains a comfortable humidity level and does its job rather well. The pump out system is really nice. It pumps the water straight up and over a walkway til draining out. The pump out hose length provided is adaquate for most applications.

Cons: Unit does not come back on after power outage. Fan noise is a bit high, even on low speed. Hose for manual drain is very short and does not have any kind of connector on the end for connection to garden hose or anything.

Other Thoughts: The unit does have its downfalls, but still does a great job. Excellent product and fits the bill if you intend on using the pump out feature.

1 out of 5 eggsLoud, loud

Pros: Overflow discharge and pump to discharge water for continuous running. The pump was the reason for me to buy this unit to replace my old fridgidaire unit.

Cons: Loud, very loud. I have a 20+ years fridgidaire unit that's whisper quiet. I loaned the fridgidaire unit and the bucket got lost. I purchased this to replace the fridgidaire, now I wished that I hadn't.

Other Thoughts: I should have looked for the replacement bucket for the old Fridgidaire. I may just do that.... I looked at the Fridgidaire and the DeLonghi. I decided to buy the DeLonghi because of the pump feature. I regret my decision.... definitely not recommended.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good...

Pros: Built-in pump is extremely useful so you do not have to dump the water reservoir all the time. Relatively attractive case. Easy to move with the caster wheels. A simple "set it and forget it" method for moisture removal.

Cons: A bit loud, but this is a negative for most dehumidifiers. Also, like an A/C unit, these do generate heat and will bump up your temperature a few degrees. Not ideal for a cool basement bedroom in the summer, but it beats being moist!

Other Thoughts: We've been using this dehumidifier for two nights now, and already our basement is SO much easier to sleep in! The unit started out showing our humidity around 56%, and it has it down to 46% at this point. Our space is about 500 sq ft, so it's smaller than most basements, but also has a fair amount of moisture vapor sneaking in.

We're hoping the unit will easily keep the moisture at 45%, and just have to run a few hours a day to do this. No complaints so far!
