5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Works good has a lot of space for a mid tower. And still fits some of the largest graphics cards even if it's a little tight.

Cons: No free bag of chips???

5 out of 5 eggs2nd DD50P

Pros: see my review by "N/A" on 4/3/2012 , of my 1st one we ordered. Just ordered 2nd DD50P

Cons: see my review by "N/A" on 4/3/2012 , of my 1st one we ordered. Just ordered 2nd DD50P

Other Thoughts: We did an extension some years ago, so we have two basements, separated by the old back basement wall. Access between the two via two door sized openings in that wall.

We placed the 1st DD50P we bought back on April in the old basement, and it almost did sections both well.. but could tell still needed a 2nd dehumidifier in the new section.

With some of the heavy rains we had this summer, the front wall of the old basement leaked as it does once in a blue moon. Small puddles on the floor. With the DD50P running, and with the pump feature.. puddles were gone in no time.

In the past, we never got away with just one, always needed two.

So we just ordered a 2nd DD50P.
Arrived very quickly after the order, and arrived undamaged.
Fired'er up, and away we went. Filled the bucket on less than 6 hrs... did that for a few days... now slowing down, 24hrs to fill the bucket. Yea, needed the 2nd one. Just now have to get the pump-hose over to the old basement where the drywell drain i

5 out of 5 eggsgreat stuff

Pros: two fan speeds, defrost, easy adjustable, PUMP!!!!! built in... not anywhere as noisy as others I've had.
Has a filter for the coils !!!! no other one I've had has had this. My past ones, I should have taken them out every few years and blew their coils clear of the basement dust.

Cons: need to read the manual to figure out the symbols on the "dashboard". Oh my, if that's the worse thing about this... I'm in heaven. Fan does run 24/7 , but I think that helps it better detect the humidity and need to defrost. I don't hear it compared to my other past units, so as other may have stated this as a negative, I'm not sure it is..

Other Thoughts: I need a dehumidifier in my basement from spring to fall.
I have lots of tools and equipment, and 3 80years basement walls that are not sealed.

Its important it keeps running as needed, and with a busy life and travel, I'm not always around to run up the stairs to the back yard to dump a bucket 2-3 x week.
Over the last 25 years I've used my own invention of a water level sense stick and a small boat bilge pump to pump out the basic water tank from the past two simple dehumidifiers I've owned. I bought this cause of it having a pump built in and no longer needed every year or so having to provide maintenance on my invention's "dip stick" for the water level. This is supposed to be a more conservative power user than my 10 year old unit.

So far, pump works GREAT. I don't hear this unit like I heard my other one.
With NewEgg's price, I'm getting close to buying a 2nd one for the other part of my basement, nearly the same price as the others I've bought locally w/o a pump.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: I know nothing about this kind of equiptment but what I do know is that I had a musty basement that was producing mold. I put this unit down there and used the handy hose to pump the water right out the basement window, and it is SOOO much better. It was amazing how much water got pumped out right away. It was very easy to use, just plug it in, set up a hose or 2 and turn it on.

Cons: The only thing is I couldnt easily figure out the settings, but that's what the instructions are for i guess!
