3 out of 5 eggsMissing screws but Newegg's willing

Pros: The heater can warm up my 10'x13' room pretty quickly. It's also nice to have oscilliation and timer function.

Cons: Missing screws to mount the base. Fortunately, Newegg's willing to send me a replacement with complete screw pack. Occasionally, the heater creates strange noise when it oscilliates.

3 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: Nice options and heats well.

Cons: Remote buttons stopped working altogether after a few days. Customer service via e-mail took a very long time and now the remote is on backorder and I don't know if I will ever get a new one. VERY LOUD AUDIBLE BEEP whenever you change a setting. I have seen comments about the loud beep before but I thought ppl were just being picky, they were not, it is LOUD.

1 out of 5 eggsMissing parts

Pros: None

Cons: Missing parts. I have to go to home depot and find the exact oddball size screws required to hold the tower to the base. . Unfortunately, I'm out the time and trouble shopping for replacement parts

1 out of 5 eggsI think it was used. Parts were missing.

Pros: The price was good, assuming it had worked.

Cons: It didn't work because the parts needed to put it together were not in the box.

It appeared to be used.

Other Thoughts: I have never gotten something from Newegg advertised as new before that was actually used. I expect stuff like that from the Hong Kong retailers that don't care about things like reputation or laws.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for my needs

Pros: It works very well and looks nice. It's pretty quiet and is effective about heating a room. I like how it doesn't simply produce heat, but also has a fan to circulate the heat in the room.

Cons: The display does not turn off when heater is turned off, you have to unplug it. Because of safety, if you bump into it, the heater will turn itself off which is a good thing, I suppose, yet can be annoying. I guess that's why they give you a remote

Other Thoughts: All in all, we're very glad we bought this space heater. It comes in handy.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Heat

Pros: Great heat, can heat an entire house if all the doors are open. Maybe not the entire house when the mercury drops below 30 F but thats why I have other heaters. For one room it kicks some booty.

Cons: The swivel mechanism has started to shake and rattle. Nobody has knocked it over so I'm not sure why it would move like that.

3 out of 5 eggsheater

Pros: quiet when running
safety switch especially for parents n pet owners
finish n design, however a built in clock would have been great

Cons: thermostat in fan is not accurate, it sometimes vary by up to +/- 3 degrees which is not great in terms of cost and convenience.
beeper is annoying and loud

5 out of 5 eggsIt makes stuff warm.

Pros: Arrived quickly (a day earlier than even the carrier had it listed to arrive) and intact. Easy to assemble, all you need is a medium sized Phillips screwdriver. Remote is a nice addition. Overall look is sleek and modern.

On to heating.

In a medium sized bedroom on nights when external temps are around the mid 30's to upper 20's Fahrenheit it does a surprisingly good job of keeping my bedroom warm. With the temp set to 78F I can sleep comfortably under just a sheet.

For large or open areas it would be a losing battle. It will keep you warm if you park it by your recliner, but I wouldn't expect it to heat a large living room and neither should you.

It's worth noting that overall insulation is so-so in my house. Not terrible, but not that great. The heater still manages to maintain a comfortable room temperature.

Cons: While oscillating it slightly resemble something Aperture Science would employ as a denial of area/sentry device.

May frighten small children and/or less heroic house pets.

Other Thoughts: It has a "smart" setting that switches the fan between high and low as needed.

This feature could use some work since at time it will kick into high or drop down to low for a few seconds before going back to what it was. Sometimes a few times in rapid succession. Kind of annoying in terms of noise, but not detrimental to the units heating ability. (i just run the fan on low anyway)

1 out of 5 eggsMissing screws

Pros: Looks nice, shipped quickly

Cons: Opened the box to find the product missing the screws required to fix the base to the tower. I'm not about to lean the tower against a wall or anything so it's sitting in it's box waiting until I can try to find screws that will work.
