Cons: Goes through the water quickly when using a lot of steam. At least the tank is nice and big. Other Thoughts: I see the issue with the cord and the base - I don't find it to be a big issue. I'm not sure what it is I am gaining with the dual surface plate - it seems to iron pretty much like my previous iron. Yes, it's a bit heavy - wouldn't call that good or bad really. Steam comes out so uniformly that the iron can be a little warmer than would normally cause it to stick to some materials. The instant steam can be used to remove wrinkles instantly while ironing or vertically to steam any clothing. This is heavy enough to almost do the ironning all by itself. My wife who complains about anything being heavy did not find that to be a con for this iron as she quickly realized it helps doing the job faster. The power cable can be moved to either side. Couple that with a proper ironing board with wire management and you won't even notice it is wired. Of course some reviewers complained about the wire, but they wouldnt be happy unless they got some wireless iron and had to deal with annual battery replacement.
