1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy!!!

Pros: Nice way to load water into the unit. From the front. That's about it.

Cons: DO NOT BUY. It was bad enough that the clock is only in military time, as with others here the carafe cannot pour a cup without dripping. We finally figured out that if we pour the cup as slowly as possible it will drip Less, but still drip. 30-60 seconds to pour a single cup of coffee. Really? On top of that, the basket started clogging and dumping coffee and grounds all over the counter and in the pot. After thoroughly cleaning everything inside and out, especially the basket's outlet, I made another pot this morning and GRRRRR! The basket stopped releasing the coffee into the pot AGAIN! Coffee everywhere again... I've made morning coffee exactly the same way for over 30 years. For the last 20+ years I've used only Cuisinart coffee makers. I will Never stray from that brand ever again. This thing is total junk. In a fit of rage, it is now in our recycle bin, even though its only 3 months old. The Heck With It! BUY CUISINART!!!

1 out of 5 eggsLow quality, leaks afoter 3 months

Pros: No Pros!!!!s Wow, this is the worse DeLonghi product I have ever owned. Poor carafe design will not allow for a clean pour. After 3 months it leaks out of the bottom when filled with water. Save your money. Newegg should not carry this product. Will not purchase another DeLonghi product. As this product had no quality control. One more thing. Clock and timer setup are really ridiculous.

Cons: See comments above

Other Thoughts: Do not buy

1 out of 5 eggsChange of Heart

Pros: Coffee that actually makes it to your drinking vessel is quite good...

Cons: This coffee pot is a piece of garbage. The designer should be heaved off a tall bridge into a river barge transporting broken glass (maybe a tad extreme). That pretty much sums up my frustration with this product. The maker leaks from underneath (warped out butcher-block) table. The odds of getting a clean pour from the carafe without spilling is like winning the lotto and getting struck by lightning on the same day. IT SPILLS EVERYWHERE and A LOT! in a 14-cup pot, you may lose 1-2 cups of that to the floor/counter top.

Other Thoughts: This is a re-review that I am updating from when I originally purchased this product. It is a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY and Newegg should consider no longer selling it. IT'S THAT BAD. I am already shopping for a replacement, which is a HUGE disappointment after the amount of money I spent on this travesty.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother

Pros: I'm sure if I think long enough I could come up with something positive. Hum that coffee is hot.

Cons: 24 hr clock. If you have to rest time wait until morning.
Loose half your coffee on counter when pouring.
If you break the pot. Ya gotta buy an entirely new maker.

Other Thoughts: We will never buy anything from DeLonghi again.
Opened box set on counter no support keeping carafe in, carafe fell on floor, and broke. DeLonghi basically didn't care after several emails. We went (stupidly) and bought a new one, hoping we could order a new carafe. Noop. You pay as much for a new carafe than a new coffee maker.
This Delonghi is now available at WallyWorld for 29 bucks. A replacement carafe can be purchased for 26.66 + 9.35 shipping. ya right : (

24 hour programmable timer means, it a 24hr clock too. Who in their right mind would make a 24 hour clock on a coffee maker!

Yup drips like a sieve when ya pour it, especially when the pot is full. I did find many others with the same problem they gave the advise to file down the pour spout to make it smooth. That does help.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Carafe

Pros: Good warmer, nice looking

Cons: The carafe design is flawed. You can not pour a cup of coffee without spilling half of it on the counter.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy

Pros: It works great ONLY when it actually works. Love the 14 cup part as well.

Cons: We have had this coffee maker for a little less then 4 months and it DOES NOT WORK any longer the heating unit is bad. It makes a mess EVERYWHERE. I have tried to call customer support however I never seem to get through to anyone. I WOULDN'T recommend this coffee maker to anyone.

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it works

Pros: -Good looking unit on the countertop.

-Programmable auto-brewing timer is convenient for daily coffee drinkers.

-Allows you to control how much you brew; does not require you to brew a full carafe of coffee.

-Coffee tastes good, as long as you stick to the recommended proportions of grinds to cups of water.

-Out-swinging water feed and coffee filter holder are very convenient, so if you have the coffee maker under a cabinet, you can still easily pour in the water and change the grinds without moving the unit's base.

Cons: -Filter will get dirty after some time, hard to clean. It also doesn't stop all grinds if they are very fine, so you may consider using cotton filters also.

-The carafe as others have mentioned legitimately, will start pouring coffee out the front under the sealed plastic ring. Mine was not as bad as others but it was certainly frustrating at times.

-The "Cleaning" warning will not go away even after cleaning/descaling the unit.

-Ultimately, the unit died on me after about 8 months of usage 3-4x a week. The pump and heat plate boiler just stopped working one day. See "Other Thoughts"

Other Thoughts: I am really only giving this unit 3 stars because whomever DeLonghi contracted for customer service did an excellent job of standing by their product. This unit is good while it works, not great, maybe 3.5 to 4 stars, but it broke pretty quickly, however, I contacted DeLonghi support at the number listed on this Newegg page and they made it right.

After only maybe 10 minutes on the phone, they offered to send me a brand new unit (probably bc the unit is so inexpensive to begin with). All I had to do was send them the power cord cut from the broken unit. Done! Sent it out that day and within a week, I had a brand new unit shipped to me.

Very pleased with the customer service, I expect this new unit will most likely break in <1 year of usage, but at that point I will be satisfied I got my money's worth from the product.

2 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: Love the fact that it's a 14 cup pot and I got it at a terrific bargain.

Cons: If you like to pour the water into the pot or coffee in your cup WITHOUT spilling it------then don't purchase this particular one. There is absolutely no way to pour without getting it EVERYWHERE until you get down to just a few cups. So disappointed!

1 out of 5 eggsOK when it worked

Pros: Large Capacity, Good Looks

Cons: Stopped working after 3 months. Won't brew or heat.

Dripped heavily when filling coffee maker and dripped heavily when pouring coffee, when it worked;

Other Thoughts: Sorry I bought this. After just 3 months I am back looking for a new coffee maker. Uncertain if it's worth sending this back under warranty. Such a large item will cost to ship.and may not last when fixed.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Brewing Hardware, Terrible Pot Design

Pros: The design of this unit is excellent. I love the front-loading tray for water and grounds. Everything just works, couldn't be better, as far as the unit goes.

Cons: The spout design on the coffee pot is terrible. Every single cup of coffee poured wastes about another 3rd of a cup on the floor. Absolutely terrible design flaw. This clearly wasn't tested in an office environment.

Other Thoughts: I would get this unit again, IF the pot spout is redesigned to avoid dripping and drooling all over the place. It is so bad, that I have considered replacing this perfectly good unit.
