Nescafe Dolce Gusto Piccolo Single Serve Espresso and Coffeemaker

Pros: Very small footprint and looks nice. Water tank is very easy to fill. Wanted an alternative to the Keurig some mornings and was tired of the mess with the milk/frother etc if I wanted something other than a regular coffee.

Cons: The water tank came chipped/cracked (enough to leak) - the box looked fine. It is pretty loud compared to my big Keurig. The samples that came with it were expired (July 2012).

Other Thoughts: Contacted the manufacturer directly to ask about the cracked water tank and how to purchase a replacement. They are sending out a replacement for free - very efficient/polite.

Pros: Not possible to say yet as the pods that were shipped with the machine expired 5 months ago!

Cons: It is not possible to test the machine itself for quality or taste when the samples that were shipped with the machine had expired 5 months ago. Now I have to order some pods and will be able to test the machine once they are delivered.

Pros: Great little machine! It does what it supposed to do.

Cons: You can't find the pods ANYWHERE, so unless you plan on ordering them online, go with another brand. I ended up just getting a kurig, they even sell a "make your own blend" filter so you don't have to screw around trying to make your own pods like you do with this one.

Pros: This little coffee maker is easy to use, is consistent, and the coffee is quite good. I had tried coffee from Keurig and did not like the ones I had (latte, etc - too sweet). This product seems to make coffee like Europeans drink. It's strong enough, good flavor, and the cappuccino for instance is very good - just the right mix of coffee/milk.

Cons: None found yet. I had to call at first when trying to prime the coffee maker before using. Tried 2-3 times and was worried that something was wrong. No problem, just took a little longer to prime than expected.

Other Thoughts: I have tried the famous Keurig coffee and was not impressed. I find their latte, for instance, much too sweet. And, from reading reviews, the individual model pod coffee maker has some dependability "issues." The Dolce Gusto Piccolo is perfect for my office at work and makes really good coffee. It will be such a treat to have a quick, clean, and good cappuccino in the afternoon without much fuss. I had a typical four-cup coffee maker and those never make good coffee. So, far I am delighted with this product and am thinking of one of the larger models for my husband for Christmas.

Pros: Love the design. Very simple, not an eye-sore, unlike my last coffee maker. Adjustable drip-tray allows for all-sized cups and mugs to fit under the spout. The instructions are very simple, and straight-forward, so you don't need to know your way around a complicated piece of machinery. The coffee I made was excellent, great flavor and roast level was to my liking (I had a cafe americano which was one of the samples included). Cleanup is easy, and it is ready within 2 minutes. Also, register your machine on the dolce-gusto.us site and get a free box of cannisters of your choice!

Cons: A bit loud, and will likely vibrate anything on your desk (I used the slice of styrofoam included with packaging to dampen the vibrations). There is not a huge selection of cannisters like the Keurig K-Cups, where everyone and their mother has a line of flavors.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has the color listed as "black" but I definitely got the titanium one. I am not upset, because I really didn't care, but if you are really wanting the black one, I would contact them first, to be sure.
