5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: Does everything it's supposed to do. Just finished drinking the first pot and no problems yet.

Cons: Filter that comes with it lets fine coffee grounds through but I used a #2 filter and I had no coffee grounds in my coffee.

3 out of 5 eggsLittle perker

Pros: Perks a full pot in a very short time.

Cons: The pot is too small. (Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the capacity when I ordered.) Messy to pour the coffee. Permanent filter is not the best and allows a lot of fine grains. Hard to clean the area that holds the permanent filter.

Other Thoughts: Well, its better than having no coffee pot at all.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent coffee

Pros: It makes an excellent cup of coffee. Perfect size for my two mug mornings. The permanent filter is a plus and if it's lost or damaged, you can still use paper (cone) filters.

Cons: The opening of the carafe is fairly small making it difficult to wash with my big, manly hands. No auto shut-off on this model, but hey, at this price...

Other Thoughts: Pour slow! The tiny lip of the carafe will dribble water/coffee down the side if you try to pour too fast. Shipping box was padded with paper. Does this mean that The Egg is done with toxic popcorn?

5 out of 5 eggsgreat little coffee maker

Pros: Cheap, the cost of the printer I wanted is $20 less than on Apple's store, so boom, free coffee maker!

Well built - this thing seems to be properly designed, the lid fits tight on the carafe, the coffee is hot, the handle is big for my big hands. It doesn't dribble when you pour it as long as you don't invert the thing when its full.

Comes with a reusable filter thingy. Also, the smart sneak-a-cup thing seems sturdy. This lever that prevents drips is the first to go on these cheap makers.

Cons: No auto off. How hard would it have been to put an auto off in there? Oh well I just have to remember to turn it off.
Little white plastic residue dust in the reusable filter after running water through it twice. Oh well, I'm sure it won't be the first time I've ingested plastic. Mmmmmmm plastic dust... My coffee is so strong right now that I bet the plastic got scared and stayed in the filter.

Other Thoughts: I bought this because I hate the keurig thing at the office, and this is so small i could put it on my desk, or hide it in the kitchen next to the microwave. I figured the cost of this, (currently $15) plus coffee ($10lb) and milk ($3 week), will end up being cheaper than hitting up starbucks every day ($3). Plus you get to use whatever coffee you want. I'm enjoying a nice hot cup right now. Bye bye weird coffee pods at the office!

5 out of 5 eggsblack stuffs comin out!

the filter thing works pretty well
it brews quickly
the included glass pot is durable (i have dropped it a few times... no breakage)

Cons: no extra functions. It's only a basic coffee maker

Other Thoughts: it's simple...
#1 you pour in the amount of water you want to brew
#2 you put some coffee in the filter
#3 you flick the power switch to "on"

and then drink!

Pros: Makes a great cup of coffee. It's perfect for my office. I like the permanent filter, which needs to be rinsed after each use and washed once in a while.
