Best non-comercial iron out there
Pros: This iron overall just makes great waffles. It heats up fast, cooks fast, times itself, and has an audible alert and light to tell you when they're ready. The inversion mechanism helps spread the batter to cook more evenly. With this iron and the two-waffle version, I do a waffle and eggs brunch for 35-50 people several times/year.
Cons: After several years, the plastic cracked where the iron supports meet the base, probably due to the strain from the iron flipping back and forth and sideways pressure on the supports while in storage. This was easily reinforced with a couple of angle brackets and some adhesive, and the iron is now stronger than it was before, and fully functional again. The iron itself is so good that even this hasn't detracted from my overall rating, but is the one area that could use some improvement from Waring. If I bought another, I would probably reinforce it right off the bat.
Other Thoughts: I used to be rather dismissive of cooking sprays in general, but there is nothing better than a generic cooking spray for oiling the plates before use. Also, spray again if the iron sits hot for any length of time without a waffle in process.
