4 out of 5 eggsMaybe the best coffeemaker I've ever owned!

Pros: Adjustable hot plate temp, strong brew option, filtered water, brews quick and has an end of brew chime!

Cons: The clock needs to be backlit!

Other Thoughts: I should give this coffeemaker 5 eggs, but something as simple as not having a backlit clock, was a big oversight! I have mine in a somewhat shadowed area of the counter, and its hard to see when setting the clock or the auto brew timer.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing!

Pros: Lots of features - timer with auto on/off, three temps for how warm to keep coffee, looks nice.

Cons: poor coffee. Despite adjusting amt of coffee added, settings on machine, coffee is always burnt and otherwise flavorless. My old $20 coffee maker did a better job!

5 out of 5 eggsCuisinart...Great Coffemaker

Pros: I love this coffeemaker. This is the third Cuisinart I have had in 15 years. Great Company that stands behind their product if you have a problem. This model is superior to the last one I had. Maybe it is opinion, but get one with the CONE FILTER. The big round filter coffeemakers do not make as flavorful coffee as does the cone filter. The cone filter seems to get all the flavoe out of the great coffe you add to the pot. Whatever your choice for coffee you cannot go wrong with the Cuisinart DCC-2600, or probably any other Cuisinart with the cone filter.

Cons: I haven't found any yet. I have been using this pot for about a month and it is now broken in, No plastic flavor, and that takes about a week. I guess you could run water through it several times, but the coffee was good from the start.

Other Thoughts: I LOVE my Cuisinart, and now I don't have to wait 30 minutes for a cup of coffee. I live in a hard water area and use only filtered water, but it still takes a toll on any coffeemaker.

5 out of 5 eggsOne year later

Pros: Had this for a year now and still works like the day I got it. Makes a good cup of coffee.

Cons: Water filters are a little hard to find but not a big problem.

Other Thoughts: Would buy this again. Good tasting coffee.

5 out of 5 eggsBest coffeemaker I've had

Pros: No drip spout. Snap off lid makes for EASY cleaning and rinsing of the carafe. Makes a full carafe in mere minutes. Never over heats and burns the coffee. Easy to program. Easy, easy, easy. I use it every day.

Cons: None. Very satisfied.

Other Thoughts: I just think you should buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat coffee

Pros: makes a great tasting pot of coffee. have only used bunn makers for the last 10 years, but they tend to leak after a couple years, so decided to try this one. it is awesome.

Cons: these arent what i would call true cons, just minor inconveniences. controls are laid out a little funny, and a little hard to get used to. manual isnt clear on a lot of the instructions, also, since the inside of the water tank is black, it is kind of hard to see where to pour the water in unless you turn all lights on. but like i said, these are only minor, and not enuf to take any eggs away.

Other Thoughts: bunn makes a cup of coffee in 3 minutes, this takes closer to 7 minutes, but it is my honest opinion after tasting the first cup from the cuisinart, longer is better, much better. i now enjoy a really great cup of coffee, i dont have to clean up after the coffee maker after every pot, and now that i know where the water goes, i dont have to turn all lights on at 3 am and burn my retinas out, lol.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Great cups of coffee, doesn't drip out pour spout when you poor a cup of coffee so its not all over the counter, the carafe locks in place every time so it doesn't brew onto the counter, since most have switched to the spring on their filter dispensers I've noticed this flaw with almost all of them. Doesn't burn or overheat coffee, brews very fast for reg coffee, easy to clean carafe.

If you haven't used the self cleaning option, let me just say, I would buy it for that alone. The light started to blink for cleaning, the previous day or so I had decided it needed to be done, coffee was starting to taste a bit bitter, not horrible but being an avid coffee drinker it was noticeable. So A+ on knowing when it needs to be cleaned. With this coffee maker you don't use straight vinegar, you use a 2/3:1/3 ration, press the self cleaning button then on. It drips really slow, then pauses for a while, then finishes. Run water through and I swear it did the best cleaning job ever.

Cons: Setting the clock is a little confusing initially. Strong brew takes a little long if you want your coffee right away.

Other Thoughts: I'm a little torn on the lid for the carafe, on one hand its annoying to have to snap it on, on the other hand it makes it easier to clean and if they change it I'm not sure it would sit as well inside the unit and may be the reason it locks in every time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Coffee Maker

Pros: Nice coffee, fast, good flavor, pours well, plenty of options to make the coffee just how you like it, and easy to load and use.

Cons: Controls are a little different until you get used to them but its only a small learning curve and the lid to the croft is kind of a pain to put back on once you take it of but over all worth the money.

Other Thoughts: Over all very nice product, pricey but worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly recommeded

Pros: To date the best cup of coffee we have had in quite some time. We had a B&Decker, Gevalia and others. The last being Gevalia. We use less coffee and get great strong coffee every morning. A pleasure to wake up to. Had no idea the difference a drip coffee pot can make.

Cons: WE had the Cusinart about three week and to this point we have no cons.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Coffee Maker

Pros: Give it water and ground coffee and it provides a cup of joe without the wild accent that you can't understand. Bought this for work and they have'nt broken it yet. Easy to clean and operate, it's a freaking coffee pot.

Cons: I could have probably gotten the same quality from another brand and a bit cheaper, but hey government budgets are meant to be used. Also note that the burner function that controls how long it heats after the initial brew time, is beyond me. My boss figured it out while I was on vacation. There are no directions in the booklet for this function.

Other Thoughts: CAFFEINE!
