5 out of 5 eggsGREAT Coffee maker !

Pros: very well constructed! great feature set - especially at this price. programmable, 3 carafe warmer temp settings ( i like medium - plenty hot, but doesn't burn off as quick) easy to clean. Brews absolutely DELICIOUS coffee especially compared to those common all-plastic makers out there. Consumer Reports had this model at top of charts for brew and quality because of it's correct heat-to brew temps.

Cons: the charcoal filter seems like a nice touch, until you try to buy replacement: somewhat expensive, i think about $10 for two, plus shipping, since i could only find them online. But I use PUR filtered water only, so i just operate it without filter! NO Prob!

Other Thoughts: even though stainless shows fingerprints easily, it gives this a top-notch look, and is easy to clean. the Pause-to-serve feature drips a little when pot is removed, but iv yet to own a maker that didn't. I paid about 80 retail for this.

Pros: * Makes excellent coffee
* relatively quick

Cons: * Watch you don't get grounds down the back and change the filter regularly. They often plug the intake for the boiler.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product

Pros: Programmable, self cleaning, stylish appearance, adjustable carafe temp. & most important, quickly brews an excellent pot of coffee - whether 3 cups or 12

Cons: None. (Another reviewer mentioned trouble with fluid 'drizzling' if the carafe is too full. I've not found that to be an issue PROVIDED the lid is kept in place (it has a hole over the pour spout), and I usually overfill the carafe, brewing 13 cups instead of the recommended 12.

Other Thoughts: I've owned 2 of these. The first lasted about 5 years before the burner gave out, likely due to my own abuse (I wasn't as careful as I should've been; coffee often poured or spilled onto the burner, seeping into the underside - not good). The 'current' one is almost 3 years old. At the time of purchase, a new somewhat 'fancier' model was available but having been very happy with the first, I searched around until I could find another. There is one issue, however: the seal between the glass carafe and it's plastic rim (just below the spout) has recently given way just a tad, allowing a drop or two to seep out - but only when pouring from a completely full pot. I'm sure I can fix it (and it IS worth the effort), but I have yet to do so. Regardless, I highly recommend this item!

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Coffee Machine

Pros: This has a multitude of features including a timer to start your coffee brewing at a certain time.

You can use gold filters with this unit.

It has a replaceable and cleanable filter in it.

Cons: The coffee pot drizzles all over the place if you pour too fast.

Other Thoughts: Decent coffee pot for $35. I bought mine 8 years ago when they were around $100.
