Then it slowly lost the ability to hold a charge. After about three or four months it would not even hold a charge and it stopped working entirely. I contacted Cuisinart to tell them about my problem with their unit and did not get any response. Ended up throwing it away as a waste of drawer space. Did you find this review helpful? Pros: Good ergonomics, compact design, solid construction

Cons: This unit worked great only the first couple months. Then it slowly lost the ability to hold a charge. After about three or four months it would not even hold a charge and it stopped working entirely. I contacted Cuisinart to tell them about my problem with their unit and did not get any response. Ended up throwing it away as a waste of drawer space.
