Cons: It is cheaply made - just after 7 months of use, the spring that holds the top door up or down broke. Also, after 10 months, the clock started going crazy - it now counts about every 40 seconds as a minute, so the time always ends up ahead of the real time shortly after resetting it. Other Thoughts: Overall, I like this coffee maker. I would just be a lot happier if they were designed to operate correctly for at least a year!! Did you find this review helpful? Turns out, I love the DCC-2880 even more. The control buttons are larger and easier to use without needing my glasses. Cons: I don't particular care for its look. There is too much black plastic. Other Thoughts: I went through (3) three Cuisinart Grind and Brews. They only lasted a little over a year a piece. I like using whole beans and grinding them just prior to use. Since the Grind and Brew kept breaking down, we decided to separate the grind process. I bought this coffee maker on the recommendation of Consumer Reports Magazine. I do like it and it makes good coffee...I just think it is ugly. Did you find this review helpful?
