Pros: This is the third Sharp Carousel we have purchased since 1991. The first lasted until 1999 and was damaged due to an electrical power surge. The second lasted 16 years of daily use and still worked when we replaced it with our current one.

Cons: Takes up a lot of space.

Other Thoughts: I cannot remember a meal in our household where we have not used the convection feature of this oven. It's great for heating rolls, chicken nuggets, frozen lasagna, etc. Simply put: life would be more complicated without it.

Other Thoughts: This is the third time we have purchased this oven from Sharpe. The first unit we bought in 1991 lasted until 1999, at which time it was damaged during an electrical storm. This was entirely our fault. We replaced the first unit with a second, which lasted until 2015-16 years. And the only reason we replaced it this time is because it was starting to smell during the microwave process. We use this oven almost everyday. In fact, I cannot remember a meal where it was not used to at least heat some rolls or leftovers. Saves so much time and money in comparison to having to use our larger oven just to cook an au gratin or lasagna. This oven is by far the most important appliance in our kitchen save the refrigerator. I highly recommend purchasing this product.

Pros: So I am rating my former unit not this unit but they are the same Sharp microwave that nothing bt the model number has changed. We are mostly replacing it as our kitchen is now all black appliances and our original was white. Its a workhorse and will be donated. Every feature you can think of. In a kitchen where we can't fit a double oven, this microwave is our second oven. Couldn't live without the convection aspect.

Cons: The only downside is that micro/convection ovens, especially those that are as big as this one, are getting harder to find. YOu could fit a full size turkey in this thing. I had an order placed with an appliance outfit for this model and after a month it was never filled by Sharp. Newegg was the only place I found that had one in stock.

Other Thoughts: Clearly these are a dying breed but its too bad...tI will also add that since they are no longer popular the style has not changed much unless you want it in stainless. Those weren't designed until the mid 2000's so they look a bit fresher.

Pros: Very easy to use. Microwave and convection oven in the same unit. Sensor cook features work very well.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: We had a similar Sharp micro/convect for over 20 years and were thrilled to find Sharp still makes them. Over the years we've become so dependent on our micro/convect oven that we were constantly commenting on how much we missed it while waiting for the new one to arrive.

This unit is much larger than a typical microwave only unit, but if you have the space it's the only way to go. We use the convection function to avoid heating up the full-size oven in our cook stove. Saves energy two ways--it takes less to run this oven and it doesn't heat up the kitchen/dining area like the big oven does.
