  • Ceramic Surface
  • 430° Maximum Heating Power

Clean efficient heat is yours in one convenient and portable unit. The Induction Cooker by Tatung doesn't use traditional heat transfer to prepare your food. Instead, it uses an electromagnetic field to generate the heat within the pan or pot you place on the cooktop.

With induction cooking, your cookware heats up fast, reducing your cooking time dramatically. Best of all, the Induction Cooker is energy-efficient, because your energy bill and the environment are important to Tatung. For high heat dishes, the Induction Cooker can heat up to 430°. It also features a two-hour timer setting and cookware suitability detection to reduce the guesswork in your food preparation. Experience fast, effective cooking in one elegant solution with the Tatung Induction Cooker today!

Space-Saving Design
The Tatung TICT-1500W induction cooktop crams 1500W cooking power into a space-saving design, so you can boil, sauté, stew, steam, simmer or fry at any convenient location in your house.

Induction Cooking Technology
The Tatung TICT-1500W induction cooktop uses a magnetic coil to heat the cooking pot itself, resulting in a cooler, safer cooking surface and added energy efficiency.

Cookware Suitability Detection
When suitable cookware is placed on the Tatung TICT-1500W, the magnetic coil will react to generate heat for cooking. Heat will be shut off automatically when the cookware is removed, even if you don't turn them off.

Ceramic Surface
The ultra-smooth ceramic cooking surface has no seams or gaps to trap food or spills, so clean-up is a breeze.

Convenient Timer
The two-hour timer allows you to accurately set and monitor cooking time for perfectly cooked food.

Cooking Pot Included
A stainless cooking pot with a glass lid is included with purchase, perfect for making stir fry or stews.

1 out of 5 eggsA lemon crafted by a lemon

Pros: Stylish, easy to clean.

Cons: Bought two and one died after only 3 usages. Did not abuse it, but just boiled water and some vegetables for less than 15 minutes for each use. Completely dead. I gave another one to my sister and it died as well.

Other Thoughts: Why not called their customer support to replace it? Exchanging with another high quality piece of oooo wouldn't make much sense to me. That's why. I'd stay far away from this brand.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for occasional use

Pros: Great for hotpot, easy to use, heats up quickly. Easy to wipe clean.

Cons: We had this since Nov 2010, use it occasionally for hotpot. Recently our regular stove top needed repair, so had to use this once or twice everyday, died after about a week of use. Power turns on but won't heat up (no motor sound) and light would jump to having middle two lights on.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat induction cooker

Pros: Own this for over an year and works great! Bought this cooker to use for hot pot and do not regret it. Heats up fast.

Cons: The fan does generate a bit of noise but is not that bad and when your in a family setting sitting around the cooker and talking, it's not even noticeable!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Basically functions like it's supposed to.
For deep frying, I like that it can be safely surrounded by newspaper to make cleanup easier.

Cons: I own a similar inductive cooker with lower power consumption. I bought the Tatung because I thought it would heat faster, because of its higher wattage. I was wrong. It is definitely slower.

Other Thoughts: In general, inductive cooking has its advantages. But, I think they are over-hyped.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: Very efficient, has replaced my stove burner almost 100%. Why spend money heating the air around your pan? I love the included pan, it cleans up easily and can make a dinner for four or just boil the spaghetti and be ready to heat the sauce in a minute or two.

Cons: I guess you should compare to a lower quality version at W**M*** that costs moare....

4 out of 5 eggsWorks OK, but I had to replace fan when lights 3-4 started blinking

Pros: Compact, easy to use anywhere. I mostly use the heat settings of 1, 3, and 4. 1 to simmer and keep warm. 3 for normal cooking, and 4 for faster cooking. 3 uses about 800 watts, 4 uses about 1100 watts of steady power. 1 cycles on and off using 800 watts when on and zero when off.

Cons: Fan failed after a year or so. Fan would not spin and result was that lights 3-4 flashed. I think the fan was leaking oil and the oil that was left gummed up. I got a fan designed for a computer case and adapted (butchered) it to fit. Works like new again. Original fan indicated 18 volts, and my replacement fan is 12 volts, but it has worked for several hours and seems to run about same speed as original fan.

Other Thoughts: Low price made it attractive for me to initially try induction cooking. Handy when I want to take it outside to cook something that might be smelly or messy.

1 out of 5 eggsDEAD: lights 3,4 flashing

Pros: When it works, it cooks well and adjusts temperatures fast. Easy to clean and manage.

Cons: It has quality problems. Read about the many dead ones after using it a few times.

Other Thoughts: I used mine less than 5 times in a period of around 12 months. It was like new and just died because the 3.4 lights started to flash. The unit won't turn on.
