Best of all, the Induction Cooker is energy-efficient, because your energy bill and the environment are important to Tatung. For high heat dishes, the Induction Cooker can heat up to 430°. Space-Saving Design
The Tatung TICT-1500W induction cooktop crams 1500W cooking power into a space-saving design, so you can boil, sauté, stew, steam, simmer or fry at any convenient location in your house.

Induction Cooking Technology
The Tatung TICT-1500W induction cooktop uses a magnetic coil to heat the cooking pot itself, resulting in a cooler, safer cooking surface and added energy efficiency.

Cookware Suitability Detection
When suitable cookware is placed on the Tatung TICT-1500W, the magnetic coil will react to generate heat for cooking. Heat will be shut off automatically when the cookware is removed, even if you don't turn them off.

The ultra-smooth ceramic cooking surface has no seams or gaps to trap food or spills, so clean-up is a breeze.

Convenient Timer
The two-hour timer allows you to accurately set and monitor cooking time for perfectly cooked food.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: Very efficient, has replaced my stove burner almost 100%. Why spend money heating the air around your pan? I love the included pan, it cleans up easily and can make a dinner for four or just boil the spaghetti and be ready to heat the sauce in a minute or two.

Cons: I guess you should compare to a lower quality version at W**M*** that costs moare....

4 out of 5 eggsWorks OK, but I had to replace fan when lights 3-4 started blinking

Pros: Compact, easy to use anywhere. I mostly use the heat settings of 1, 3, and 4. 1 to simmer and keep warm. 3 for normal cooking, and 4 for faster cooking. 3 uses about 800 watts, 4 uses about 1100 watts of steady power. 1 cycles on and off using 800 watts when on and zero when off.

Cons: Fan failed after a year or so. Fan would not spin and result was that lights 3-4 flashed. I think the fan was leaking oil and the oil that was left gummed up. I got a fan designed for a computer case and adapted (butchered) it to fit. Works like new again. Original fan indicated 18 volts, and my replacement fan is 12 volts, but it has worked for several hours and seems to run about same speed as original fan.

Other Thoughts: Low price made it attractive for me to initially try induction cooking. Handy when I want to take it outside to cook something that might be smelly or messy.

1 out of 5 eggsDEAD: lights 3,4 flashing

Pros: When it works, it cooks well and adjusts temperatures fast. Easy to clean and manage.

Cons: It has quality problems. Read about the many dead ones after using it a few times.

Other Thoughts: I used mine less than 5 times in a period of around 12 months. It was like new and just died because the 3.4 lights started to flash. The unit won't turn on.

2 out of 5 eggsRandom turn offs

Pros: All the say is true, boils water faster than anything.

Cons: Turns off a random intervals. A real annoyance is you put on something to cook long, and come back to it cold.

5 out of 5 eggs$50 bucks pot luck cooker

Pros: The induction boils fast on optimal settings. Cooks everything really quick. Haven't had any problems with it since purchased last year. Used it several occasions for all kinds of pot lucks. It's easy to clean too, just use a damp cloth while power off.

Bought this on a Black Friday sale. For the price, it was well worth it.

Cons: It makes the induction cooking noise, other than that no biggie.

4 out of 5 eggsLasted 3.5 years

Pros: Works well, comes with induction compatible pot

Cons: Sorry to see it die after 3 and a half years

Other Thoughts: Worked fine, we used it several times a week for over 3 years. Then one day when we turned it on, a couple LEDs lit but it wouldn't heat anything.
