TATUNG TRC-6STW Stainless Steel Direct Heat Rice Cooker

Pros: None

Cons: This is the worst rice cooker I ever bought. I buy items from newegg.com but I have never disappointed like this. Sensor is not working therefore the rice chars at the bottom. We cannot know whether the rice is cooked or not because of failed sensor. The water is coming outside. Never buy this.

Pros: Stainless steel inner pot is good, though it can be tough to clean.

Cons: We used it about 2-3 times a month, after 2 years and it suddenly stopped working. Compared to my last rice cooker (japanese brand), that lasted me 7 years and still going strong...

Pros: Love the SS rice pot. Warm function works fine. Cooks both white and brown rice as well as quinoa and other grains fine.

Cons: Top is not removable to clean. If you don't clean the top, mold will develop.

Other Thoughts: There's so many intelligent engineering features in this rice cooker and I now see it has been discontinued... I bet it is because you cannot remove the top to clean properly. I can only wipe it down with a paper towel, but cannot detach it from the body to really give it a good cleaning.

Pros: good, fast when works.

Cons: dead in 3 months.

Pros: We got first rice cooker a year ago after hearing from a friend in CA. Now we have 2 rice cookers with 6 cups and one 10 cups cooker. It works great! Small tip is that you have to wait at least 20 min after rice is cooked to open the lid(to server rice). This waiting time will prevent Rice from sticking to bottom and easy to clean after. Even in case it sticks, like other customers pointed out soaking in water before cleaning.

Cons: Need to wait 20 min to serve after Rice is done
Sock rice for 15 min before start

Pros: Just because it has the stainless steel inner pot

Cons: auto shut off button does not work after using it for the 10th times.

Other Thoughts: smoke came out, rice burnt and inner pot all black. since it was after 30 days, I have to pay for shipping to Tatung in order for them to fix it. Such a waste of my time. Never had rice cooker that has this short life. Wost product ever, will not buy anything from Tatung ever again

Pros: no pros

Cons: Cooker did not shut off when rice is done, kept on cooking until smoke came out and bottom of rice was burned on the stainless steel pot. I have had many similar rice cookers, this is the first one with stainless steel inner pot. Don't know if this is just a bad lemon, returned it for refund (cost $16 to send it back). Will not recommend it unless you bought it at a store near you where you can bring back for full refund.

Pros: am using the unit regularly...it cooks rice nicely...am satisfied with my purchase..

Cons: i received the unit with broken ear...it must had been caused by improper handling....however, i considered this to be minimal defect...what i did was to glue the broken parts, although not as perfect as the original....suggest to provide extra protection in the packaging to avoid similar occurrence.

Pros: I have this for a week. I have called my sisters and family about it, of how good this product is. It cooks really fast. I have been searching for a stainless steel inner pot for a long time and this one put my searching to rest. Easy to clean, and the rice (brown or white) always turns perfect.

Cons: I wish there is another stainless steel lid for the inner bowl. I had vita clay, and it has a lid so you can leave the inner bowl in the refrigerator if there is a left over.

Pros: None!

Cons: The item is broken when arrived!
