Pros: The good is it's the smallest induction plate I've seen. Also, the included pan is the first one that doesn't warp because of the thin metal. Usually the included pan is thin junk.

Cons: The power settings are too few. There's no lockout button either.

Other Thoughts: I do recommend it for its small size, but it would be so much better if they had added more power settings and a lockout button.

Pros: Good for boiling and high heat cooking. Heats quickly. Easy to wipe clean.

Cons: There are only 5 power levels plus something called "simmer". This leaves you with almost no control for cooking at low heat. And low heat is done by cycling high heat on and off; it isn't really low heat.

Other Thoughts: Good for boiling eggs and for frying; when you just want to blast the food. Very bad for when you need to control the heat.

Pros: Very good induction cooker. It heats up hot-pot quick and easy to operate. However, this is not a quiet induction cooker.

Cons: The included stainless hot-pot is a cheap one. I don't believe it's a 430 stainless steel hot-pot. It is a poor built and has some grease inside the hot-pod. The grease is very difficult to be removed. One more thing, this hot-pot is very easy to get scratch marks.

Other Thoughts: I will give this product 5 stars if the hot-pot is really a 430 stainless steel high quality hot-pot.

Pros: The Tatung Induction cooker is an incredibly efficient device.
This is my second one. I wanted to have two for the times I need to heat two dishes at once. These induction cookers are widely used in Asia because of their efficiency. The cooker will respond almost instantly to changing the temperature. Once you have used one of these you may not want to go back to the old inefficient way. I have purchased additional induction ready cookware but the pan that comes with the unit is very good for many different tasks. Cast iron works great with this unit as well.

Cons: These units are a tremendous value when they are on sale. I wish they were on sale more often.
