Other Thoughts: I did a lot of research before buying an air purifier. I was looking at <$200 models for a medium sized room. Some of the Honeywell models say they have a lifetime HEPA filter, which is bogus. This one has a long life filter which can be vacuumed. Replacement filter cost and change interval was important to me - some filters cost way too much to maintain, this one seemed like a good choice in that respect.

About the noise - some reviewers seem to think this unit is noisy. I disagree, perhaps I got a good one and they didn't? On the lowest setting it's very quiet and puts out an impressive amount of air. Even on medium I thought the noise was acceptable. It's only on the high setting that it's loud.

We use it partially for white noise at night, and yes the LED is bright blue, almost like a night light. This isn't a problem for me and anyone who really cares can put a piece of tape over it.

Overall I would buy this air purifier again. For the price it's nice.

Pros: I'VE PURCHASED 5 OF THESE OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS, FOR ME AND FOR FRIENDS WITH ALLERGIES. I HAVE ONE THAT IS AT LEAST 10 YEARS OLD AND STILL GOING STRONG. I LIKE THIS MODEL BECAUSE THE AIR FLOW IS UPWARD, AND IT DOESN'T DISTURB PAPERS, ETC ON MY DESK NEXT TO IT. I LOVE THE SOFT "WHITE NOISE" IT MAKES ON HIGH - SEEMS TO HELP ME FALL ASLEEP. IF YOU DON'T WANT NOISE, THE LOW TO MEDIUM LEVELS ARE FAIRLY QUIET. THE CHARCOAL PREFILTER IS EASY TO CLEAN AND CHANGE, AND REPLACEMENT FILTERS ARE EASY TO FIND AND NOT TOO EXPENSIVE. IT IS AMAZING HOW MUCH DUST THE PREFILTER COLLECTS OVER A FEW WEEKS. UNLIKE OLDER MODELS, THE NEW UNITS HAVE PERMANENT HEPA FILTERS, WHICH IS GREAT, SINCE THEY ARE PRICEY.
I'VE HAD TWO OTHER BRANDS OF AIR CLEANERS AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY I LIKE THE HONEYWELL BEST. IT DOES EXACTLY WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO DO, AND DOES IT VERY WELL. MY HAVE ALL BEEN EXCEPTIONALLY RELIABLE OVER TIME.

Cons: I CAN'T LIST A CON, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK IT AT. YOU CAN'T REALLY HIDE THE UNIT IF YOU WANT IT TO BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL, AND SOME PEOPLE MIGHT NOT LIKE SEEING IT IN THE ROOM. I'M USED TO SEEING IT IN THE ROOM NOW, AND IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME. IT IS SLIGHTLY HIDDEN BESIDE A LARGE DESK.

Other Thoughts: I WROTE THIS BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PARTICULAR PRODUCT, AND I WANT OTHERS TO KNOW HOW GOOD IT IS.

Pros: Cools my entire case at least 10-15 degrees Celsius. My pc prove tells me so! On low, pretty quite. Runs really smooth!

Cons: On high very loud!

Other Thoughts: Good value if you don't mind loud fans!

Pros: the noise does not bother me in a 12x12 room.
Has no problem keeping dust down, pollen out, and of said room. I am very impressed.
Cleaning is very easy.

Cons: Blue lights on the nice buttons are really bright at night.

Other Thoughts: Covered lights with electrical tape because I am am man and men don't need night lights.

Pros: It drowns out noise, 3 speed air inputs from front to back and outs from back...can put in tight places for thi reason...

Cons: A little noisey, you will need to clean the pre carbon filter out often and it also needs to be replaced and that was left out of description...

Other Thoughts: I cannot see a difference from using it and not using it...It may have helped with my allergies during the spring, but not a noticible difference...

Pros: -Great reduction is allergy symptoms
-Fairly light weight
-Cleanable filters (Both can be lightly vacuumed if you are careful although the pre-filter still needs to be replaced after a couple of vacuums
-Quiet on low
(The Low setting is quieter than our box fan on low. Medium and High on both are about the same)

Cons: -LED is a bit bright. You'll want to point it away from you if using this in a bedroom.

Other Thoughts: My allergies have been horrible this year. The standard medications didn't seem to be keeping up and I would often wake up because I was having a hard time breathing (nose completely plugged). I also can't use most nasal sprays as I am susceptible to nose bleeds. I have also been having issues with red, puffy eyes due to allergies

I bought this because other people had reported that it alleviated their allergy problems and I am very glad I did. After 2 weeks I am sleeping much better and actually feel rested when I wake up (My sleep must have been worse than I realized). My nose is almost completely unclogged and I wake up when my body wants to - not when it's fighting for air.

Our master bedroom is 18'x14'. We ran it on high for a couple of hours the first day and since then leaving it on low seems sufficient - except when we have the windows open and the box fan going to cool our room. Then I noticed I am slightly stuffier (still much better than b4)if we don't change it to me

Pros: Great filter, noticed the difference in a few days - much less dust and cat dander in the bedroom

Cons: It does make noise, although it is whte noise so you definately get used to it quickly

Other Thoughts: There is an LED on it but it wasn't annoyingly bright. I had the previous version of this that I ran for about 6 years non-stop till the motor died.

Pros: Foot rest

Cons: Not refundable and shipped broken

Other Thoughts: Turned the machine on for the first time and it was rattling. Opened up the unit to see what was wrong and all the plastic pieces holding the motor in place were cracked and broken

Pros: Love this unit, makes my bedroom smell absolutely fresh/clean. Low maintenance and seems to work well. Quiet fan considering what it is doing (pretty much the same sound as a box fan). I am a smoker and it seems to remove the smell quickly.

Cons: Loud on high, but really doesn't need to be on high that much.

Other Thoughts: Not an instant fix for a stinky room, but it does the job after a few hours.
