I first i thought it wasnt working because this one doesnt make ANY noise when it zaps the bugs. After leaving it running over night it was completely covered with dead bugs. Cons: Had to spray it with the hose to clean all the dead bugs on it (didn't have to do that with the old one). Other Thoughts: Wish it was a little bit bigger but it does the job. The mosquitoes killed us. This is a very poor item for a 500 sqf ' although they claim it is for 1/2 acre. Eventually I bought a restaurant zapper which cost me $300, but zaps in the house every second for all kind of flies , and we take it with us outside to the yard , and we hear a music of zapping in our ears- no mosquitoes on us anymore Cons: I do recommend to invest once with a good zapper .
