Easy clean (Calcium build up) as for instructions. Works well. Cons: Used for about 6 months and rust started to show up at the bottom and had to stop using the kettle. Pros: Simple design, boils water fast, easy to clean Cons: Minimum water level 0.5L but it's not a big deal for me Other Thoughts: First of all, I cannot believe what a tremendous job Newegg did on shipping. I ordered it on July 13th at 2:00 pm and the package was on my porch on July 15th at 4:00 pm! Thanks a lot Newegg. This product is exactly what I was looking for and you cannot beat the price (I bought it on sale for $9.99). The kettle has a very clean, simple design with an easy-to-pour spout. Water boils pretty fast and it has no coils thus making it very easy to clean. Some complained about the cord length being short but it is ideal for me. In short, I love this kettle so far and only time will tell how it performs in the long run. I definitely recommend it! Did you find this review helpful? Cons: I assumed the cord was removable from the kettle - it is not. So it is a little hard to pour and clean as the cord is permanently attached. I've tried to do everything as instructed and that smell/taste won't go away. Most kettles are constructed of metal which can be a burn hazard. The heating element is hidden for easy cleaning. Heavy duty construction. Cons: Can't separate the kettle from the base which makes it somewhat awkward to use, especially with the heavy duty power cord. Other Thoughts: Made in China, of course.
