Pros: Cooks rice well, does its job and steams bao perfectly. I made 3 cups of rice and 11 hours later it was still sufficiently warm. I'm happy with it for the $20 I paid.

Cons: The manual's grammar is hilariously bad and there's extra leaflets to add more information not included in the manual.

Other Thoughts: If you read the leaflet (which some reviewers who gave one egg obviously didn't), The device when first plugged in goes to cook to heat up quicker, the switches to warm. You put the rice in then hit the cook switch.

Pros: Every one likes the rice it cooked.
It's not sticky after about half year use, easy to clean.

Other Thoughts: I bought a Tatung 12 cup rice cooker about 15 years ago and it worked flawlessly for that time. Now, my mother is from Thailand so, for me, good rice is a main staple. To my dismay, their quality control must be subpar compared to 15 years ago (or I just got lucky). This one lasted 7 days and even when it worked, the rice on the bottom was crunchy. Read all the negative reviews before you buy (even on the differant models). I am a sat panna wiss no lice. I neet to buy new wann so I hap some lice. Maybe ness time I buy amelican.

Pros: I added this beauty to the wonderous collection of rice cookers I have accumulated through the newegg shell shocker sales! Newegg should put a shelving unit on as the shell shocker sometime so that I can display my rice cooker collection for all the world to see!

Other Thoughts: For being a twenty-some dollar rice cooker it actually works pretty well. The built in steamer tray is a great feature. I like to put a cup or two of rice in the bottom and some broccoli and/or a chicken breast in the top tray and before you know it you have a meal. This would be great for a bachelor or a college student. Make sure you clean the unit after each use. I once was running late and forgot to clean my rice cooker. (My fault completely) It began to smell pretty bad after a few days. I will never do that again... I have never had a problem with the auto timer. My rice was always cooked fine when it shut off.
