Batteries last less than an hour on the highest range and take 8 to 10 hours to recharge. Needs better, more batteries and charger. An hour of relief is nice but to really help it needs longer battery life. Other Thoughts: I'm a disabled Vet with Chronic back pain due to an accident while in the Navy 35 years ago. This belt allows for movement around the house while still having some heat on her back. I seriously think she likes it just because it's winter in Iowa and you take heat where you can get it! I put it outside my shirt even though the directions say inside. Cons: The battery compartment slide out too easy. The button is in a bad spot to be bumped and change the heat level. I "fixed" those by putting some adhesive velcro on the front side and then inserting the control with the battery compartment facing out. There is enough of an angle to keep the button better protected. The velcro makes the battery compartment stay (actually it stays very well, a bit tough to get off depending on how much velcro you put on it) Other Thoughts: A good deal at this price if you don't mind doing a little "tailoring".
