LG must mean Looks Great
This review is from: 24.9 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator with 4 Tempered Glass Shelves, 2 Humidity Crispers, Slim SpacePlus Ice System, Tall Ice/Water Dispensing System and Premium LED Interior Light: Stainless Steel
Pros: Stainless Steel design and whisper quiet. This is an Energy Star rated refrigerator that is expected to cost an average of $57 dollers a year to operate. No, that's not a typo. The inside is spacious and brightly lit w/ the LED lights. There's plenty of shelf space and they're easily adjustable for oddly shaped items. This refrigerator includes a water filtration unit and comes with one complimentary filter that lasts for about 6 monts on average use. The water dispensed from the internal and pre-chilled reservoir is delicious. The freezer is deep and can be set as low as -6 F. I like bottom access and I don't have to reach for anything. Cold air sinks and it makes sense to place the freezer where it stays in rather than spilling out from above. I've noticed I keep food fresher, longer than with my old refrigerator. NewEgg delivered quickly! The transaction was handled masterfully. I couldn't be happier. It really is the best appliance in my kitchen. Thank you NewEgg!
Cons: I paid a bit more for this than I would have elsewhere, but when no tax and free shipping factored in, it evened out. The surface smudges up easily, though it's to be expected for stainless steel. The ice maker has bound up on 2 occassions, and both of those times on a very warm day (March and here in June). I just remove it and pull out the ice. The freezer holds a good sized bin for extra ice.
Other Thoughts: I bought this refrigerator from NewEgg after an exceptionally poor experience w/ another online retailer. Do your homework and put your trust and money into online institutions with a proven track record of following through on every detail of your transaction. You may think you're saving money by falling for promises of low prices and rebates, but truly, you might be getting scammed. I thought I had found the lowest price, bought 4 new appliances with promises of hefty rebates. Once I submitted my purchase online, the waiting game and excuses started. Remember, scams can happen to anyone, even the smartest of consumers. Check the reputation of a online retailer before you buy. And if there are red flags, don't kid yourself into thinking all of 'those' problems only happen to others...it can happen to you too! Stick with NewEgg, and you can't go wrong.
