Other Thoughts: As a chef, I just wanted to point out, there is no "knife sharpener" in this set, as the description says. What's included is a knife steel. A steel is still very useful, but what is does is hone the blade and make the edge last a little longer. It does not sharpen. The best thing for these is just a simple $6 wet stone. Sharpen these knives with the stone, and use the steel in between sharpenings, and these knives will serve u well for years to come. Also, NEVER put these knives in the dishwasher, and don't wash the steel. Water will ruin it. Hope this helps

Pros: great quality knives, very good set that includes just about everything the normal house chef should need aside from some very specific knives. it even comes with a santoku knife which is very sharp.

Cons: the santoku knife is maybe an inch or two shorter than what I would prefer, but for $65 I can't take an egg away for this.

Pros: Knives are high quality. Had one Cuisinart knife before and loved it. Saw this deal and couldn't refuse it. Excellent variety of knives. With normal discount and extra $30 off, the set was more than half-off MSRP
