Pros: Great shaver. Never owned an "electric shaver" before, always used a blade. The wet/ dry shaving plus the fantastic price was to good to pass up. Saving with shave gel is great.

Pros: Priced well caught it on sale, good trimmer. Fast Shipping.

Cons: It lacks for shaving a heavy beard, have to go over and over beard and it still wont shave close.

Other Thoughts: While its priced right you probably would be better off paying more for a better shaver, you'll be happier in the long run.

Pros: Uses WES9012PC foil and blade combo. The middle blade that is integrated in the foil does make a difference in dealing with hairs too long to poke through foil. Though the foil and blades are replaceable, I've only seen it priced near $40 dollars.

Some people prefer different styles of electric shavers. It works most efficiently when you follow the instructions. You really want to move it in a circular pattern across your face where possible.

Small holes on the foil. I haven't gotten razor burn like I do with other designs. This may or may not work to your advantage

Easy to clean. As a wet/dry shaver you can use it with shaving gel/cream and in the shower.

Though it doesn't have a linear motor seems to perform as well as my ES8078. The trimmer is the same design.

Finally, it tends to be priced very competitively. The features I care about are all there.

Cons: As the most basic ES shaver using WES9012PC it lacks some features from the higher priced models:
- no linear motor
- no head locking ability

The power display increments units of 20, so not functionally different that having a low power indicator.

Not great for shaving hair more than a couple of millimeters tall or for very thick hair since it may not easily pass through the foil. Upgrading to a more expensive model will unlikely improve shave if it uses the same model of foil and blades. Moving to a 4 or greater blade Panasonic probably won't solve the issue either since the foil and blade design will be similar.

If the 3 blade system is effective, moving to their 4 blade or greater will increase coverage area so in theory it should improve the speed of the shave but not much else.

Other Thoughts: Instead of buying a WES9012PC combo kit to replace the foil and blades on my still functional ES8078 it was more economical to buy the ES-R51-S for a few bucks more when on sale. If I need warranty work done on the new shaver I can switch the foil and blades onto the ES8078.

All the ES8000 series and even the ES7000 series I think used the same power plug, so I was disappointed to find that the plug had changed.

Pros: It has the Good Housekeeping seal - one of the few endorsements you can trust any more. I got it to replace a very similar earlier model who's battery finally conked out after 8-10 years. One improvement on this model is the digital readout showing the % of full charge, so you know exactly when you need to recharge it. I didn't realize how loud and dull the old one had become until I began using this one!

Cons: They lowered the price two weeks after I got it for Black Friday!

Pros: Did not irritate where it actually shaved.

Cons: It simply did not cut enough of my hair. I tried different speeds, pressures, and angles of passing the razor, and was always faced with entire regions that simply would not be cut. I attempted several exceedingly long shave sessions, trying to learn how to use the product, but in the end, I never got anywhere close to a satisfactory shave, wet or dry.

Other Thoughts: Consider the fact that other electric shavers sell for up to $200 and are still not always preferable over manuals.

Pros: I bought this shaver when my Remington Titanium (which was 10 yrs. old so I couldn’t complain on that), but would not hold a charge any longer and had to be plugged in all the time to work. I couldn’t just plug it in and shave because the batteries were so drained, and it wouldn’t give me a close shave any longer. I started shaving with a regular razor again and my face and neck would get so irritated that it looked like I had a rash. So I started looking at other shavers and came across this one on sale for $39.90, and it had some good reviews to boot. Let me just say that I was not disappointed. In fact I am impressed with the closeness of the shave. Right out of the box it was the closest shave that I have had with an electric shaver hands down, and no irritation! Cleaning it is a breeze. Just put a little soap on the blades and run under cold water and wha-la it’s clean. I don't think you will be sorry if you buy this shaver.

I read one review where the person said that he used it for an hour and it didn’t shave but a few patches. Come on really an hour? Did he read the instructions that said to take off the plastic cover before shaving? Not sure what his problem was but I can tell you that it wasn’t the shaver.

Cons: The only con I can find is that you cannot run it while plugged in. Which I understand because this is a Wet/Dry shaver, and you can use it in the shower. So I can see that you don't want to electrocute anyone, but that is the only con that I can see.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a good affordable shaver that gives you a nice close shave.

Pros: Keep charge longer than any other electric razor I have owned. Cuts pretty good, not as good as blades but the best cut a inexpensive razor will give. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase.

Pros: Bought this shaver shortly before Christmas last year, and have been loving it since. I used to use both an electric shaver and a razor to take care of my facial hair (shaver during weekdays, razor Monday mornings after relaxing over the weekend), but now I just use this shaver.

Pros:
- Cuts really smooth
- Decent battery life
- Can work its way through most anything using the middle blade

Cons: No real cons, but I thought it was weird that the LCD screen that shows battery life showed it in increments of 10%, rather than a real percentage.
