Other Thoughts: Combined with the disposable it gives me my closest shave ever.
Gave it a 2 star because of the price. I feel like it could do more for my neck and i hoped it would make my shaving easier. and it doesnt.

Pros: Great shave for sensitive skin. I used to only shave once a week because my face would break out after shaving. With this shave my face does not break out, It is so smooth that after shave does not hurt when applied. I have been shaving almost every day for 2 months on one battery charge.

Cons: Trimmer is small. Like most foil shavers, they do not work well with longer hairs. It does not shave well if you have a few days growth.

Pros: The shaver did an OK job of cleaning.

Cons: The shaver did not provide a close shave at all. To cut the hair away, even shaving once every two to three days, I had to make a large number of passes. It was often uncomfortable as well.

I also had numerous problems with noise from the shaver. I have had a few Norelco shavers in the past, and even the cheapest of them never generated as much noise as this model. It was simply uncomfortable to shave with as it spends so much time near your ears.

I was also disappointed with the cleaning system. While I admit it worked well to clean the product, the drying system did not work without multiple hour-long operations. I would sometimes get up in the morning to find the shaver still very wet. I followed the instructions for preparing the cleaning solution and using it, but after a couple of drying cycles, things kept getting worse.

Other Thoughts: I am afraid I am unable to recommend this product to anyone. I purchased a new razor I am happy with, and I suggest you look at other competing products instead of sticking with this Panasonic model. I read strong reviews of this product, and I hoped to be satisfied, but I unfortunately had to return it. Please do not make the same mistake I did and order this shaver.

Pros: wet shaves, fits nice in my hand ,shaves my neck, now I don't have to buy razor blades to shave my neck. Out proforms all other brands that I've owned!!!!!!!! Get it now.

Pros: This shaver does a very good job of shaving, first and foremost. Almost as close as a blade, the wife can't tell the difference really. The cleaning/charger station is nice, and the shaver seems to hold a charge very well.

Cons: The base station is very noisy when it is cleaning and/or drying. I am not sure why it needs to run for a few hours when just set to dry. I usually just clean it with soap, then do the whole automatic cleaning about once a week or so. But if you have the station dry the shaver after a manual cleaning, make sure to close the bathroom door at night or it will keep you up, and run for hours just to dry.

Pros: I actually own the ES-8109, which is this model's predecessor. Aside from the battery meter changing from an LCD to LED's, and the travel lock being added to power switch (which will be useful), it's the same. I've had mine for nearly 6 years, and it's still going strong. I've never changed the blades or foil...ever, and it still gives me a nice smooth shave. I change the cleaning cartridge every 4-6 months, but only shave every 2-3 days on average, and clean it every time. I take the foil off, rinse it, then put it in the sonic mode and rinse the blades before putting it back together and running it through the self cleaner. I only charge it when it's needed, and a full charge will last me about 2 months. It doesn't pull or tug, even when I go 4 or 5 days without a shave, and I have pretty thick facial hair. I decided to try a Braun series 3, and will be returning it to buy this one. The only reason I'm buying a new shaver is because my ES8109 finally could use new blades and foils and in trying to wash the clean and charge base, I got it wet inside and now sometimes it doesn't work right (but most of the time it works just fine), but for the deal on this one, I'd rather just get a whole new set up. This truly is the best electric shaver available, I speak from experience.

Other Thoughts: ADVICE: Don't try to wash cleaning base under running water, you will get water inside the fan vents; just gently tap the foil head in the sink and rinse it, then put it in sonic mode (hold power button when you turn it on for 3 seconds) and rinse blades briefly under running water before running shaver through self cleaner - this will make your cartridges last longer, and also fill the water tank with distilled or filtered water; leave shaver in cleaning base for at least 3 hours after clean and dry cycle completes to allow unit to dry completely - makes for better dry shave; 3-packs of the cleaning cartridges are available at (unfortunately NewEgg doesn't sell them) and other stores for about $10 and the price has been the same for at least 5 years; DO NOT attempt to shave in sonic mode - it won't work, and you will get tug and pull, and probably cuts...it hurts, and was not intended to be used this way; Don't press too hard - let the shaver do it's job, and try to keep all three blades in contact with your skin at all times; The trimmer is only good for touch-ups, not full grooming.

Other Thoughts: This thing takes me about 15 passes to get me to a scruffy look and it takes me about an hour to get a decent shave. It pulls my hair and generally is weak in comparison to other shavers I have used.

Pros: excellent shave for a moderate beard. I use Lectric Shave and it takes about 3-5 min. The cleaner is really cool and 1 cartridge works for about 1 month. I really could not be happier

Other Thoughts: So far, It's been a great razor, Not noisy as some complain about. I have been using braun for years and I think this shaver is superior but we will see if it withstands the test of time.

Pros: This is the best shaver I have ever used. Very close shave without irritation and pinching. Does Great on longer whiskers.
Great battery life - lithium ion.

Cons: None that I have noticed.

Other Thoughts: If you use an electric shaver, you must get one of these. You will be delighted.
