Rosewill RHKN-11002 8-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Cutlery Block Set

Pros: cheap

Cons: I have these knifes for over a month now and they are the worst I've ever seen. They rust bad. Two of them were never used and they have been kept in a knife block and still have rust spots all over them. Sharpening from factory is sad uneven edge.

Other Thoughts: Buy them only if you need to experiment on cheap knifes otherwise save your money for something that is meant to last. This is just a waste of the materials used and fuel to ship it from China.

Pros: The knives feel good in your hand - I liked the shape of the grip on each.
The storage block is minimalistic and small, a must on my limited kitchen counter.
The scissors rule.
If you can eat it, these knives will cut it.

Cons: It's been said in many reviews about these knives, they're not razor sharp blades. You can plainly see that they've been machine sharpened by a low grit block and haven't had the final honing that a samurai sword may get - but they'll still cut it if you can eat it.

Other Thoughts: Other than the fact that you can't shave with them, this is a nice little set to have easily available. After running the blades down a steel, the edges sharpened up nicely and will cut paper without snagging.
After reading all this understand, I got my set as a $10 shellshocker. I doubt I'd be as gracious with my comments if I'd paid full price.

Pros: None...

Cons: All Cons, got rusted after 2 3 hand wash... not worth even for free

Pros: excellent quality and really sharp!

Cons: nothing so far (two months of light use) so not sure how long they will last sharp

Pros: For the price these are nice knives.
They aren't professional grade but neither am I.

Cons: Wood block can tip over.

Pros: After spending some TV time with a file and a good diamond knife sharpener, I am pleased with how sharp these knives can be made to be. I only used the Santuku and paring knives afterwards but they worked quite nicely. If you don't mind investing some time sharping these knives, they turn out to be a nice set at the promo price. I have not had any rust problem with these or with the Rosewill set I bought in 2011. Nice wood storage block.

Cons: All of knives had really rough, poorly ground and honed, dull edges. With so much else to do, I did not like having to take time to sharpen all of them myself.

Other Thoughts: Obviously Rosewill does not make the products they sell - they simply sell branded products. They can only hope that whoever makes the products with their name on them have some degree of quality. My experience with Rosewill products is that the quality varies from product to product. The Rosewill knife set that I bought in 2011 arrived in usable condition. This knife set was worthless until after I sharpened all of the knives. Product quality and customer service are just not what they were 20 to 30 years ago. Now that I have these knives sharp, I am not quite as dissappointed as I was when they arrived.

Pros: As long as you make the purchase realizing you are buying a $15 item, you will be fine. Don't expect super high quality cutlery. The blades aren't very thick, but they do the job. What can I say, for $15 I am not disappointed.

Cons: I have owned these knives less than a month and they are rusted.

Pros: I own some very good knives, German and Japanese. These cost 35$ to 120$ EACH. I bought this set because the cost was less than the cost of the block without the knives. The complaint about rust is not - to me - important many favor such knives as they often take a good edge. Further, you should hand wash and dry knives and then no rust. While the factory does a crude job on the edge a stone will make these quite viable. So for the money, these are free when on sale. Oh and they have a full tang.

Cons: Nothing you should not expect from a hyper cheap set.
