Rosewill R-CeR-KN-03 5-Piece Ceramic Knife and Cutting Board Set

Pros: These knives are very sharp and work really well. The rubber handle is a super +!

Cons: The only gripe I have is on one of the knives it wont fit into the case without forcing it and I am afraid on cutting myself or damaging the knives.

Pros: This is my first experience with ceramic knives. This set is well made and very sharp.

Cons: 2 cons: The bolsters are so tall that you can’t use the entire length of the blades. The knife covers are a mixed lot when it comes to fit. Call it “Goldilocks syndrome”; one is too tight, one is too loose, and one is just right.

Other Thoughts: A good introduction to ceramic knives without breaking the bank. I would buy them again.

Pros: Sharp with sheaths. Ive purchased alot of Rosewill products and havent had any problems. The blood will show up real good on the white blades

Other Thoughts: I showed them to my mom now I dont own them anymore.

Pros: The knife is sharp enough to cut with ease. I haven't broken them yet so I guess they are durable enough. It is all I use anymore because I hand wash them so there is always one sitting on the counter to dry overnight and I just use it the next day.
Not sure about long term durability but seems fine so far.
Handle is nice, feels like silicone.

Cons: The sheaths could be better (one is super tight and a bit hard to put on, another is really loose, 3rd fits right).
Also the part where the blade goes into the handle is difficult to clean due to right angle

Other Thoughts: Cutting board is ~1/3cm thick? Great deal for the sale price.

Pros: Cut great, handle good.

Cons: the handle is bigger than the knife, is not possible to use all cutting face, because handle touch the board before...

Pros: So sharp I cut my left hand off with a mere 6 Newtons of force. Be careful

Other Thoughts: Won"t make an omelot or coffee.

Pros: Got this set as part of a shell shocker deal during the holidays and was interested in seeing what everyone was raving about regarding ceramic knives. Was a little thrown that this electronics company I was familiar with was selling kitchenware but the price was definitely right. I haven't had the need to use the paring knife nor the peeler yet but I'm liking the two larger knives. although the handles are platic they feel sturdy and solid in your grip. The slicing/cutting is smooth and crazy sharp. Looking at reviews for other ceramic knives I'm thinking that the plastic safety covers are both practical and a plus to prevent inevitable nicks/dings that will end the life of the knife.

Cons: I don't cook enough to be using these every day. I need to peel more potatos and carrots!

Other Thoughts: Ceramic knives are as good as people are saying

Pros: Did I say hilarious? I meant that other thing, you know, terrifying. The big knife went through a mushy tomato as if it wasn't there. Also, funny that I have to provide a level of technical expertise for this review.

Cons: I could easily see a finger tip being removed be a careless person, but fortunately the cut will be so clean they can sew it back on!

Other Thoughts: But it for 30 over Christmas, wonderful price for ceramic knives.

Pros: Very reasonable price when on a good sale. Ceramic blades are less porous than steel, and so are easier to clean. This set is cheap enough to see if you like ceramics before spending more $$ on something more expensive.

Cons: Any ceramic blade is brittle, and therefore more fragile at the edge and tip than a steel blade. You cannot sharpen a ceramic blade with common sharpeners for steel blades. Doing so would ruin the ceramic blade.

Other Thoughts: This Rosewill set is very comparable to a set I found called Cuisinart asin B009YYO5SG item 5100965.
