Metro Vac's "Green Power" Blows Off "Canned Air" This newest addition to Metro's proven DataVac line has been completely redesigned from the ground-up. It is much more compact and comfortable to use than previous models and features a new, almost unbelievably powerful 500-Watt motor that literally blasts dust, dirt and debris off expensive computer/electronic equipment to keep it running at peak efficiency. The new DataVac Electric Duster is positioned as a "greener", more effective and cost-efficient alternative to the controversial "canned air" products currently dominating the category.

5 out of 5 eggsThankful for the 220V version

Pros: I'm glad newegg offers the 220v version as I work overseas for extensive periods and can't find this product where I'm at.

Cons: Don't know yet as I just placed my order.

Other Thoughts: Suggestion to Newegg: Please specify when your products have a european/asian plug such as this. A picture would be most welcome as there are many types of plugs used all over the world.

Although I'm personally very happy you have a 220v plug version... seems like many other customers who weren't looking for that are quite upset. Not every customer is a techie, an electrician, or a world traveler.

The sole purpose of this comment is to confirm the need for products such as this on newegg and also confirm my appreciation for it, while requesting that necessary specifications (and pictures) are clearly stated for all customers to make a properly informed purchase decision.

Do this and there will be one more reason you're above the competition. Other sites do specify european/220v/50hz... but also do not show a picture of the plug.

1 out of 5 eggsWhy would you offer it for sale

Pros: Newegg why would you even offer this for sale in the US when it's clearly not compatible with std US 110v poer sockets. no pros

Cons: 220V European type plug!!...and newegg is still offering this for sale in the US??

Other Thoughts: Don't buy unless you live outside of the united states and have the correct outlets to plug it in

1 out of 5 eggsLayman's Terms

Pros: Cannot review this for pro.

Cons: I love how it shows you no picture of the plugs end.
I'm a heavy software guy, however not so much on the hardware. Had no idea what a 220v even meant. If your wondering what it is, that means the plug tip is two large circular far-spaced prongs. It won't work on your standard 2 slit, 1 circle outlet. If your outlet looks like this, you can't use this device. = | |

Other Thoughts: There really should be a simple picture of the plugs END posted on here. Very irritated it isn't. Would've saved me $70.

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased.

Pros: I like that I don't have to buy the cans of CO2. I have two computers and other electronics that need dusting and the cans don't cut it. I got the vac and it's been great. It also has more power then a can or air.

Cons: Really the only thing I could say is you have to plug it in. But I guess if your cleaning your computer, you're going to be right next to an outlet. I wouldn't say that this is a major con.

1 out of 5 eggs220V

Pros: We have this product @ work but 120V device. I saw the picture, checked the specs, and thought I was ordering the same product.

Cons: The specs on the equipment in question did not list that it was 220V device. Though the model # has 220V in it, the average consumer may not realize this. My feeling is that the average customer would not have 220V available, thus would not be ordering such a product.
