Pros: Powerful motor, great for ice, and making shakes.

Cons: Had it for 6 months now. After about 2 months the handle broke off the pitcher. It's made so the pitcher locks in and it won't turn on unless everything is attached and closed. We have to pretty the button with a pencil to get it to work... But it still works.
Last week the pour spout lid broke off in the dishwasher.

Other Thoughts: We use this daily to make shakes, and sometimes it is used multiple times a day.

This is our second Ninja. Both LOOKED high quality, but suffered from wear/tear too easily due to being made of plastic (I didn't say CHEAP plastic).

Next purchase will have a glass pitcher, and higher quality materials. No sense in spending $100-200 every year for a blender when I can get a Blendtec or similar for $300-400 that should last for years.

Pros: I have heard nothing, but greatness from my girlfriend about the blender. She absolutely loves it. I have seen it in action and it's pretty cool and efficient. The ease of cleaning this product is amazing compared to the last two blenders we have owned. Well worth the buy.

Pros: Large pitcher and seems to made of quality materials. Easy to operate.

Cons: As other reviewers have mentioned, this blender does not make anything really smooth. My fiance and I love margaritas, and so I thought that this blender with it's super sharp blades and high power would make awesome margaritas.

However, it really makes more like margarita-flavored snow cones. No matter how long I blend, different ratios of ice to mix that I try, or whatever, we always get drinks that have chunky ice granules in it.

Also, the blade is very sharp and is hard to clean by hand given its design. I've cut myself a few times wiping it down.

Other Thoughts: Didn't buy this here but from a local store. Saw this on the front page and figured I'd write a review of it since I was kind of let down by it.

In hindsight, I'd rather have spent the money on a different blender as this one doesn't work as well as I think the company advertises it to.

Pros: High powered motor, will go through ice with no problem. Blades are positioned in multiple spots, seems to allow for thorough mixing. Does not cost anywhere near a Vitamix. Lock down top with am ample pour spout\flap, keeps product in, but lets you still add to the mix without removal. Easy to disengage pitcher.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Have used this 2-3 times a week since I got it for my wife for Christmas. Daiquiris, smoothies, shakes, no matter. This thing is a beast. Admittedly, I've never owned a blender that was better than what you get for $20 at your average retailer. This thing is a HUGE improvement. Wife was hounding me for a Vitamix (~ $500, no friggin way!). Saw an infomercial claiming this to be Vitamix competitor, figured I'd give it a try. Glad I did, the Ninja does not disappoint. My biggest worry is that my son will follow through with his curiosity and actually try to blend a brick! To tell the truth, if that were to happen, my money would still be on the Ninja.

Pros: Crushes ice beautifully. Large pitcher. Powerful. Secure pitcher & lid.

Cons: Doesn't make smooth shakes/smoothies. Locking lid and small pour opening don't make it easy to add ingredients while blending.

Other Thoughts: Echo comments of previous review. This blender breaks large stuff down really well but struggles to make things smooth. My primary blender use is to make smoothies/protein shakes. When using ice or frozen fruit, the end product just isn't all that smooth. Almost a gritty feel with the ice granules. I think the flaw of the design is the square pitcher design. As the machine blends, some food gets stuck in the dead spots of the corners. The lid has to be attached & locked down for the unit to operate. Kind of a pain but a safety issue I guess. There is a pretty small pour opening on the lid but it's not big enough to add ingredients while blending.

Pros: Blades are very sharp, chops stuff up really quickly. Really big reservoir, so we are good with only one batch of whatever we are mixing for our family of 5.

Cons: Does not make it smooth. It leaves little chunks of whatever you are blending. Not good for milkshake consistency.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for smooth, get a blender. If you don't mind "chewing" your drink, this works great.

Pros: Blends ice extremely well, frozen fruit and vegetables are also blended smooth in no time.

Sturdy base with rubber feet keep the blender in place. Blender looks really nice in kitchen.

Cons: The base has a chrome finish which can gather fingerprints
