Once that was done, it connected without a problem. The first time using it, cooled our upstairs area nicely. This is the first AC I have ever owned and am very happy with the quality of this one. newegg.com beat the price on all other sites, either by price or by offering free shipping. Cons: The shipping packaging was very poor, the only thing keeping the box together was one shipping strap, the box was so torn on top, that the packing materials (Styrofoam) was broken and falling out of the box. The bottom of box was torn and pushed in. Thankfully, the AC itself was undamaged. Other Thoughts: This AC was shipped so quickly and arrived much faster than I could have imagined. Ordered on Monday, arrived on Wednesday. I chose to buy a portable AC because I only have one window that could accommodate window AC and decided that this type would do more for cooling the upstairs.
