Stop visiting the local coffee shops! You can get the same flavor right from home! Keurig's Special Edition B60 offers an easy, clean way to brew your own gourmet coffee at home, without all the hassles of a traditional coffee machine.

This wonderful unit uses pre-measured portions called a K-Cup which offers the perfect cup of coffee without the mess of grinding coffee beans and loading grounds into coffee filters. Operation is a snap - just open the lid, insert a K-Cup, close the lid, and select a cup size. It has three settings for customizing your desired brew strength: a 5.25-ounce robust cup, a 7.25-ounce regular cup, or a 9.25-ounce travel mug. The striking blue backlighting not only makes it easier to read the B60's digital display and view the water level in low light, it casts a cool blue glow for added visual appeal.

4 out of 5 eggsMakes Coffee... Good in a hurry

Pros: Looks semi impressive to guests when sitting on the counter.

Cheaper than going to Dunkin Donuts every day, just buy their "K-Cups" (just call them "Kups", it's even easier)

Cons: K-Cups are not cost effective if you drink more than one cup of coffee. Just buy a Mr. Coffee and brew a pot.

The "Prime" error (supposed to clean the filter) goes off for seemingly no reason, cleaning it is pointless since I use filtered water anyways for my coffee (not stuck up, but the hard water here has killed 3 coffee makers in 2 years), so I know the filter is not dirty.

The My K-Cup attachment does not work

Travel Mug setting brews painfully weak coffee

Other Thoughts: Was used daily for the first few months. Now collects dust, realized how much it was costing for 5 K Cups a day (between 3 coffee drinkers, that is)

5 out of 5 eggsTried and Liked K-Cups

Pros: We have been hearing about the K-Cup Brewers and decided to try this one. We both like to have different taste of cups of coffees and this really helps there. We have tried about 25 different brews and some teas and have never been disappointed.
No messy grounds and filter to dispose of. Easy to clean. The one thing we do is use a Britta filter pitcher to pour water in the Brewer. Keeps down on scale buildup and you get better tasting coffee.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsGood for a while

Pros: Brews single disposable k-cups nicely

Cons: Not built to last. After gently using this brewer for 2 years, it stopped turning on. Opening it up, I noticed the bottom electronic guard plate had water marks on the inside of it. As it turns out, the Keuric brewer is susceptible to a water line leaking right over the transformer. If water seeps into the transformer, that's all she wrote.

Also, this brewer does not provide an adequate seal on the after-market Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, hot water flows in the filter and over the top, into your mug and on the counter.

The warranty is only 1 year.

1 out of 5 eggsDead before a month passed

Pros: Timer was a nice improvement over my previous B 40 model

Cons: Died before a month was up. I called Keurig and they sent me a used/reconditioned replacement. I should have just RMA'd it to Newegg... live & learn!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat in the office

Pros: This thing has become an essential piece of my desk. I hate how coffee can taste after sitting around in the pot all day and this allows you to have a delicious cup any time of day. Incredibly easy to set up, use, and clean.

Cons: slight plasticy taste for the first couple cups, but that probably could have been avoided by doing a couple more cleaning cycles.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Customer Service

Pros: Never having to throw coffee away.
Looks nicer than our old free Gevalia pot.
We have two refillable Keurig K-Cups, which allows me to save money.
Awesome customer service!!!!!

Cons: Expensive (but you know that getting into it)
Wife refuses to use refillable cups:(
Unit began to fail afer 1 month.

Other Thoughts: My wife has been wanting a Keurig for years, it was simply too expensive. Leave it to Newegg to get it down to a resonable price, with free shipping and always super fast.
Anyway the main reason for writing this review is the awesome customer service provided by Keurig.
After 1 month the units selction and menu buttons become inoperable. They were all light, but pushing them did nothing. You had to unplug it and plug it back in. This can get very annoying especially for the price. We were very disappointed (and I got to go on and on about how great the old coffee pot was). Well I figured it would be a huge hassle with Keurig. But to our surprise is was a breeze. After maybe 10 minutes of trouble shooting, and new one was in the mail, got here 3 days later. They really made it easy. So my wife is thrilled again. 4 stars is a lot for a product that fails in less than 60 days. But when customer service responds with 100% satisfaction, 4 stars is just right.

5 out of 5 eggsBest non-espresso coffee I've ever had

Pros: This has been a great coffee machine for us. We were trying to kick the Starbucks habit, and this really helped do the trick.
We got the machine with the My K-Cup accessory, though we have not used it yet. We have found several varieties of prepackaged K-Cups that we enjoy, and while perhaps not the most cost-effective of any option, it's still a darn sight less expensive than even a cheap cup of coffee from a vendor.
Everyone I've given this coffee to (friends, relatives, guests, service people) raves about it. I can tell you that there were several people who would indicate that they never much liked coffee, and only took it to be polite, but ended up really enjoying the coffee from the Keurig.
It's really fast and easy to make the coffee, even with several guests wanting a cup at once.

Cons: We haven't found any cons yet. The K-Cups might be expensive compared to just buying a big tub of supermarket coffee and using your regular brewer, but I find the coffee from the Keurig to be far superior.

Other Thoughts: I would buy another one if I could use it.

3 out of 5 eggsWOULD NOT BUY AGAIN

Pros: We use the B70 model in our office. Convenient for some users. Makes good coffee. Saves on wastage from old burned coffee. Before acquiring this product we threw away half or more of the coffee we made every morning.

Cons: There is a little on/off switch on the back of the product which must be pushed every time the product is used. Poorly designed. Poorly engineered. Most folks without prior knowledge or use of this product cannot figure out how to make the product work. I would not buy this product again for this single reason. I would find another product without a phony, poorly located, on/off switch. Removed two eggs for this single reason.

Other Thoughts: I now have a much better understanding of why consumer reports and some other sites give this brand a poor rating. The on/off switch is likely designed to protect kids from burning themselves. The product should have a way to disable the on/off switch.

3 out of 5 eggsBB&B

Pros: Fast, convienent, hit a button in the AM and your ready to go out the door. I am up 5am and out fast and having coffee that is fresh and ready to go is great. its an interesting machine, looks cool, neat operation, shut off - turn on timer.

Cons: The prefilled K-cups are very expensive and you have to find the right one out of a large selection that is going to suit your taste, so we bought the optional reusable K-cup, even still we had to fool around with grinding our coffee to get the right strength. Good thing we had our own grinder already!
It has 3 settings for the size cup you want, we have never used anything but the largest 9.25 oz setting and that will not even fill my travel mug. The smaller settings are useless. If you are a finicky coffee drinker you will find this machine a challenge in the beginning.

Other Thoughts: Bought it at a retail store, see title, not newegg, so I really own one.
My wife can't drink real hot coffee so its not a problem for her, but I love scalding hot coffee and this will not come close. Its sufficient temp on highest but not hot enough for my liking. insulated mug will keep it hot enough to drink. On weekends we use our trusty french press, simple, great tasting hot coffee, just have the darn groggy wakeup brewing delay before I can get "me fix"!
