5 out of 5 eggsBest non-espresso coffee I've ever had

Pros: This has been a great coffee machine for us. We were trying to kick the Starbucks habit, and this really helped do the trick.
We got the machine with the My K-Cup accessory, though we have not used it yet. We have found several varieties of prepackaged K-Cups that we enjoy, and while perhaps not the most cost-effective of any option, it's still a darn sight less expensive than even a cheap cup of coffee from a vendor.
Everyone I've given this coffee to (friends, relatives, guests, service people) raves about it. I can tell you that there were several people who would indicate that they never much liked coffee, and only took it to be polite, but ended up really enjoying the coffee from the Keurig.
It's really fast and easy to make the coffee, even with several guests wanting a cup at once.

Cons: We haven't found any cons yet. The K-Cups might be expensive compared to just buying a big tub of supermarket coffee and using your regular brewer, but I find the coffee from the Keurig to be far superior.

Other Thoughts: I would buy another one if I could use it.

3 out of 5 eggsWOULD NOT BUY AGAIN

Pros: We use the B70 model in our office. Convenient for some users. Makes good coffee. Saves on wastage from old burned coffee. Before acquiring this product we threw away half or more of the coffee we made every morning.

Cons: There is a little on/off switch on the back of the product which must be pushed every time the product is used. Poorly designed. Poorly engineered. Most folks without prior knowledge or use of this product cannot figure out how to make the product work. I would not buy this product again for this single reason. I would find another product without a phony, poorly located, on/off switch. Removed two eggs for this single reason.

Other Thoughts: I now have a much better understanding of why consumer reports and some other sites give this brand a poor rating. The on/off switch is likely designed to protect kids from burning themselves. The product should have a way to disable the on/off switch.

3 out of 5 eggsBB&B

Pros: Fast, convienent, hit a button in the AM and your ready to go out the door. I am up 5am and out fast and having coffee that is fresh and ready to go is great. its an interesting machine, looks cool, neat operation, shut off - turn on timer.

Cons: The prefilled K-cups are very expensive and you have to find the right one out of a large selection that is going to suit your taste, so we bought the optional reusable K-cup, even still we had to fool around with grinding our coffee to get the right strength. Good thing we had our own grinder already!
It has 3 settings for the size cup you want, we have never used anything but the largest 9.25 oz setting and that will not even fill my travel mug. The smaller settings are useless. If you are a finicky coffee drinker you will find this machine a challenge in the beginning.

Other Thoughts: Bought it at a retail store, see title, not newegg, so I really own one.
My wife can't drink real hot coffee so its not a problem for her, but I love scalding hot coffee and this will not come close. Its sufficient temp on highest but not hot enough for my liking. insulated mug will keep it hot enough to drink. On weekends we use our trusty french press, simple, great tasting hot coffee, just have the darn groggy wakeup brewing delay before I can get "me fix"!

5 out of 5 eggslate nights and early mornings

Pros: For Christmas I got a refurbished version of this machine. I thought this would be the best solution to coffee for me while i'm in college since i only brew a few cups at a time. I thought I would never use it but now my profesors would not recognize me without a cup of coffee. Its easy, convienient, and takes little manteince or time. great for college

Cons: the coffee could cost less

5 out of 5 eggslove it!

Pros: qiuck and easy i don't waste half a pot of coffee anymore and most of the k-kup varieties are pretty good.

Cons: that i have to refill the water container because my wife never seem to remember.

Other Thoughts: the price of a k-cup is minimal when you compare it to starbucks. a little over. 50¢ for a cup but i did find them at Costco for 46¢ a cup you just have to buy 80 of them at a time. also being able to make a cup of decaf when you need it for those family members who don't do caffeine is great!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Machine

Pros: Everything and there are not too many bells and whistles

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: My GF uses this almost every day. She makes her coffee in the mornings and tea at night when she gets home. Be sure to get the water filters for it so that you do not have to buy bottled water constantly. We tried tap and bottled water with the filter and cannot taste a difference.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Makes a quick cup of coffee. Good variety. Stupidly simple. Minimal waste.

People claim that this "promotes waste", well I'd say it's about a wash. I don't waste 1/2 a pot anymore when my spouse wakes up and decides she doesn't want any coffee after I already made a full pot. Or when I forget I brewed a pot and it goes to waste. Plus, there's always the reusable filter which generates virtually zero waste - no paper filter.

Cons: After a week+ of proper use, I'm happy to report that I'm a semi-happy customer, with only a slight discontent for having to go through so much trouble for this to work. I still reserve that I should not have to go through that much trouble for a machine that is so pricey.

I'm not a coffee snob by any means, but the coffee that comes out of the disposable k-cups is light/medium at best. Still very drinkable to me. However, for a better cup, we opted to spend another $20 bill on the reusable k-cup. It allows you to use your own coffee, and definitely comes out stronger.

Other Thoughts: This is a rehash of a previous review.

Got it to work without the plastic taste, after we decided to give it one more try. (Pro-tip: WHITE Vinegar, not "WHITE-RICE Vinegar"... *rolls eyes*)

Some bunker-building gater-getters would have you believe that this makes you and the rest of America lazy. I find this not to be the case. Some people might have the luxury of time in which they can dedicate as much as they need to menial tasks. Other people actually work for a living so shaving time off of coffee making and a hand full of other tasks, can add up to a few more minutes spent working, or being with our families. Example: I text most of the time because I don't want to have a 5-10 minute conversation with everyone. It doesn't make me lazy. Also, I take the short route to work so it saves me time in the morning. This does not make me lazy, it makes me more efficient. Someone telling me that the "long way" is the only way, else I'm just lazy, is just plain ignorance.

5 out of 5 eggsAn Essential Item

Pros: Very quick, no mess with grounds, makes a great cup of coffee.

Cons: K-cups are fairly expensive

Other Thoughts: This is not my main coffee maker but I would not want to do without it. I am a serious coffee lover and grind my beans daily for my Bunn. But when I just want a cup or two, or maybe a cup of decaf in the evening this thing is invaluable. I never had the slightest problem with plastic tastes, but be aware that the quality of the different flavor cups vary wildly. Some of them are undrinkable. If you experiment, you'll find some good brews.

1 out of 5 eggsI hate giving bad reviews...

Pros: Looks pretty, and makes a quick cup of coffee. K-Cups come in all sorts of flavors.

Cons: I bought this for my wife for Christmas. We had the plastic taste and everyone is talking about (Google: Keurig plastic taste). We descaled it with vinegar, soaked it in hot water & Dawn, ran countless reservoirs of water through, and still the plastic taste persisted. We contacted Keurig, and they told us to do what we had already done. We did it all again. It still had the plastic taste. We called back and they sent us out a new machine (came in 2 days). We did all the same steps over again with the new machine, and still the plastic taste.
This is completely unacceptable out of a machine that retails at $150. I have never had this kind of issue with any product, ever (Guess I’ve been lucky). I am going to contact Newegg and find out the next step in returning this.
I dislike giving a product 1 egg, because there's usually some sort of redeeming factor, but in this case, it's primary (and sole) function is severely flawed beyond use, so I have to give it an honest 1 egg.

Other Thoughts: As always: lightning fast shipping via Newegg standard shipping.
I have heard tales of a Cuisinart that uses K-Cups and sprinkled around the web are people claiming to have switched to it after getting the plastic Keurig coffee with great results. It retails at $50 more, but I think I just might give it a try. I don’t know what I’m going to do until then, because I threw away my old coffee maker upon giving this to my wife. Don’t make that mistake, if you still decide to get this! Hang on to your old one until you’ve verified that your Keurig is good.
