Pros: This is a followup review of my previous one. : Keurig has made an exceptional coffee brewing system. They offer a verity of choices, flavors, and blends. You can also buy a add on that allow you to brew your own blend of coffee. The selling point, besides goods coffee choices, is convenience. No mess, no grinding coffee, no cleanup! If you are like me and addicted to coffee house because you gladly pay $3-$5 for a cup of coffee to avoid the mess then this system is for you. You can have a cup of coffee made in about 30 seconds. Coffee filter system in the k-cups make for a cup of coffee without the taste of the fine grounds you find at the bottom of your cup from a standard coffee maker. This system also futures an auto brew timer.
Cons: Not all systems are perfect and this one has it downfalls. First, it is very loud as far as coffee making goes! I would say that it is in the range of 50db of noise. Secondly, the brews sizes are small, even the large size will only fill about 85% of a tall cup at Starbucks. The unit is also over priced! I got it on sale for $119.00 - free shipping - no tax
Other Thoughts: If you are not a morning person like me this is a great system to start your day off with. If you have coffee you already like and cannot get find it in a k cup format, this may not be the system for you. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE A SURGE PROTECTOR WITH THIS UNIT.

One of the fastest most convenient and delicious ways to make coffee

Pros: Clean, fast, well built, convenient, reliable, consistent, fairly quiet and simple. Sounds pretty good, right? Wait theres more! Variety of high quality coffee flavors, styles, blends as well as teas can be bought at several bi-box stores locally as well as numerous places on the web. K-cups are a great idea that is very well executed. they ensure one servings worth of quality coffee will be delivered consistently, every time.
Cons: It's not really a "con" but The plastic by-products left over when the coffee has been brewed should be recycled rather than trashed.
Other Thoughts: This is an EGGSELLENT product. The WD Raptor of consumer coffee machines. To the trucker who thinks it's only a 2-star because he can't fit his 44oz "big-gulp" under it..... get a clue!! Its like saying your Porsche is junk because it only hauls 3 cases of beer instead of 20 kegs. If 9 oz of good strong coffee wont get your motor running then perhaps 3 cans of red-bull, an epinepherine injector and an ICY-HOT rub down by Carmen Electra will!! Lol!! Probrably that low-rent donut shop garbage, that most likely came out of someones ashtray, needs to be brewed in 5 gallon batches. Hahaha, what a character....

Pros: Makes a single cup of coffee quickly and efficiently when you want it. Green Mountain Coffee has a K-cup subscription service with automatic delivery of fresh coffee with a discount. We
Cons: I like strong coffee. Even at the smallest cup size setting (strongest brew), there are still only 2 types (Sumatran and Dark Magic) that satisfy me. Expensive per cup but less than throwing out the extra coffee in a normal pot that sits around going acid.
Other Thoughts: I bought it for my wife when I had to give up caffeine for a year. Now we are both enjoying coffee but at different hours and I don't begrudge the extra cost at all. Ours has been used daily for 3.5 years and if it died I would pay for Fed Ex to get it replaced!

Great System for Coffee Lovers

Pros: Very Easy to use. Very addicting. My wife and I just love this machine. I recommend getting the special edition brewer instead of the lower priced one because the chrome handle is metal on the special edition and plastic on the lower priced one. Also can enjoy different flavors of coffee throughout the day/night, instead of one pot of the same.
Cons: Very addicting. It is a little noisy, but your making coffee, all coffee pots are noisy.
Other Thoughts: If you watch sales on the K-cups, you can get them for around .25 - .30 each. Also watch in stores for clearance (due to outdated) K-cups. They are sealed, so who cares if they are outdated. Usually get them for about 1/2 price. Also, once you register your machine on Keurig's site, you will get two free boxes of coffee if you buy two.

Fairly generic coffee

Pros: Simple and easy. Does hot chocolate and tea too.
Cons: No way to adjust the strength of your brew. Only brews 6 ounce cups or about half of a normal mug. Coffee tastes pretty generic and weak. Cost is about sixty cents per half mug which is pretty expensive.
Other Thoughts: I've used the Bunn Home Brewer ever since it was introduced and French presses as I feel inclined. I always grind my own coffee and never buy beans from the open bins in the stores - only from sealed packages and usually mail order where they roast right before they ship them out. So I have a good starting point for measuring what a good cup of coffee tastes like. The Keurig does not come close. It is not bad coffee but certainly not good and definitely not great. My wife says it tastes like 'diner coffee' compared to what I usually make. If you normally buy Folgers or Maxwell House in a can, then this coffee maker is for you!
