CleanMate is your personal robot that will sweep and vacuum so you don't have to. From carpet to hardwood to tile, CleanMate handles a variety of surfaces with ease. It goes under beds and other places where upright vacuums can't go to clean dirt, dust, and pet hair while simultaneously killing bacteria and deodorizing with its ultraviolet light. CleanMate works for about 60 minutes on a single charge. CleanMate is even smart enough that it won't fall down steps or elevated surfaces. CleanMate comes with an easy to use remote that fits right on the unit when you're not using it so it doesn't get lost.

5 out of 5 eggsUseful Tool

Pros: Compact, relatively quiet, cleans under beds and some furniture. Very good at sucking up the dust bunnies. Decent run time on a charge. Turn it loose in a room and it fills up it's dirt collector. Less money than the competition.

Cons: Easily wedges itself under some toe kicks and furniture if it's just the right height. Not much suction for picking up things like a sunflower seed or for cleaning stuff in the grout lines of a tile floor.

Other Thoughts: I suspect the lack of suction is a trade off for battery life. It's kind of fun to watch.

Pros: Can restrict it to clean in certain areas.

Does great job cleaning around objects, matter of fact it does a amazing job because it got stuck twice because it could barely fit underneath something

Makes you realize how dirty your room was when you open it up and look at all the dust and dirt it collected.

Cleans everywhere it can move to.

The vaccuum sound isnt irratating.

Fun to watch it bump into objects and watch it back up when you turn it on, even introduces itself too!

Cons: Having to clean out all the dusts it collects every so often, collects so much dust and my room isnt that big.

Scratches easily, well it likes to go under my recliner and it barely fits underneath it so it gets scratched up by pointy sides.

Wish it was remote control operated.

When you tell it to dock it will sometimes continue to clean up for like 2 - 10 more mins before it docks.

Other Thoughts: It goes in random directions so its really smart, very hard to predict where it will go, its just smart I guess.

It does a amazing job at making the floor dust free, just make sure you dont leave stuff it can tangle up with.

I recomend it to anyone, it does what its suppose to do.

2 out of 5 eggsWouldn't last over a year

Pros: Vacuum itself is great on hardwood floors and tiles. It picks up tiniest dusts and I'm not sure if it really works, but UV light was a good feature.

Cons: QQ2 supposed to have a light sensor that it comes out to the lighter area when it finishes its job but that doesn't really happen. It always stopped vacuuming under bed or sofa.
This vacuum had hard time climbing up to the small carpeted area from wooden floors. It was alway stuck between those areas and I had to pick up the vacuum by hand.

This vacuum is not so smart and has hard time finding a home base.
I had to place the vacuum near (within 1ft) the home base for it to find it. Don't expect too much that it'll charge on its own when the battery dies because it can never find a home base even if its in the same room.

Other Thoughts: I had this vacuum for exactly a year now and it mal-functioned 3 times on me and I had to send it out to Metapo's california tech suppport. They never fixed it properly and after the 3rd time, they finally sent me a new vacuum but that also stopped working within a month.
They don't really know how to fix their machine properly and they seemed to be nice about it when it broke for the first time but after that, they try hard not to be responsible for it.

When I had to spend my own money to ship out this machine
3 times because they never fixed it right on the first try, they should
really be sorry about it. But instead, they treated me like an annoying customer.

When I contacted them that the new vacuum stopped working within a month, they delayed their response on purpose and waited until my 1yr warranty expires which was 5/27/08.

I initially loved this vacuum, even it broke on the several times.
Because of their irresponsible customer service, I'm filing my case with BB

Pros: Look nice, inexpensive and great components. Fun to watch

Cons: Abit Noisy that may distract you from watching tv. Robot's movement realized on touch sensor which is slow and waste time. Movement strategy not very smart, keep cleaning already cleaned area and miss out others. somehow it's not smart in finding charger proceduce.

Other Thoughts: I am a robot builder. This is the cheapest I can get. Plan to modify this robot before i decided to buy it (ie: adding sensors, wifi controller and replace its own controller.) It may cost more but it will do more. Add up all the motors, belt-drives & gears, chasic, battery chargers, I still get a good price.

4 out of 5 eggsQQ2 Cleanmate Robot

Pros: Cleans tile floors great. Actually does go from tile floor up & onto carpet, including many throw type rugs as well without hang-ups.Great for in between heavy cleanings.

Cons: Distinguishing the various meanings behind 'beeps'. Difficult knowing which beep means it is stuck, battery running low or it needs filter cleaning. But those things are minor!

Other Thoughts: Cleans floors better than expected & exceeded my initial idea of a vacuum robot capability of performing adequately! Great for in between heavy cleaning times.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This review is base on using the vac on wooden and tiles floor only.
It pickup dust and small pieces well, but don't expect it to pick something larger, cause the vacuum entry is only around 1/4 inch wide, but that's good enough for everyday maintenance, as long as don't have anything interfere it way on the floor, it'll do it job well, clean edge area very well, the transparent dust bin is a nice touch and is easy to empty, came with 2 extra filter, empty the dust bin and clean brush often, the dust build up very fast especially on the brush. It get another feature charge & go, when it fully charged will automatic start go cleaning. not sure the uv light work but I turn it on anyway, wasn't too loud, easy to operate. Battery came fully charged. Easy to order replacement from it manufacture website. I also ran a small test to put it on the counter top to see how it do at stair area (my house is only 1 story), it didn't fall off from the counter.Overall I'm very happy with this purchas

Cons: It can't clean the corner area due to it shape, so expect to do the corners clean-up by yourself. The remote will only operate in about 10-15 foot range from vac. can't use the remote to turn on the unit, cause it only have the off button. have to manually remove the vac from charger before can turn the unit on, it would be nice if it can use the remote to turn the unit on and start. It'll take some times to search for the charger by itself.

Other Thoughts: Newegg alway is the best online shop on my list, deliver within 2 days in well package.

4 out of 5 eggsReally Neat

Pros: - Fun to watch!
- It is not as loud as I thought it would be, so the noise doesnt bother me.
- It seems to pick up dust really well, i have to empty the dust container pretty often.
- Rarely gets stuck in places
- Moves around corners fairly easily
- Entertains me

Cons: - I don't know where to buy replacement batteries for when battery dies out
- A bit slow, but i guess u cant rush perfection!
- U need to hide wires and other junk so it doesn't get stuck in it
- Not as "powerful" as the big regular vacuums, but for every-day dirt and hair and other mess works fine.

Other Thoughts: It does its job, not that expensive. Perfect for lazy people like me. Makes a nice gift. There are no pets in my house, so this is pretty much my pet! I named it, Trusty Dusty!

4 out of 5 eggsCool gadget to own

Pros: Personally I like it, I have wooden floors everywhere. i clean my room often but still like 1/2 of the filter was full of dust after 1 cleaning cycle.(room is about 12x9 ft)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: more functions would be awsome (alot of things you can only do with the remote, once you put in time there is no count down on the screen) but considering it does all the work and finds the charging base on it's own it does not bother me so much.
