Not bad
- Pros: It picks up dirt, and most little scraps of cloth from the floor. It's really inexpensive compared to other brands. It's fun to play with and watch. If you're expecting something as good as the $200+ ones, this isn't the product, but it's nice to have around, and makes light vacuuming somewhat fun. More of a toy than a quality product.
- Cons: It stops and errors alot. I have a small apartment with lots of junk in it, so this is not the ideal vacuum for my living space.
- Other Thoughts: Fun. I think if people buy this more for the novelty of having one, and to use as a toy, it's a good purchase for the price. Kind of like a remote control car that does something. I got mine out of box, it was missing parts, but Metapo happily sent me the missing parts after filling out an rma form. I'd definitely buy one for a friend. The thing is, just don't expect alot from it, but it's definitely fun and amusing.
robotic vacuum doesn't even suck
- Pros: watching it roam around the floor is cute, scent compartment can make your apartment smell nice, ok job on tile. If i had cats they would enjoy it, though it wouldn't pick up their cat hair. Delivered promptly by Newegg.
- Cons: fails on the shortest of carpet and doesn't pick up anything. It's internal algorithms are pretty basic, battery life is more like 20 minutes and makes a lot of loud beeps. My one bedroom apartment has too much carpet and would take about 5 full charges to even pretend it vacuumed it all.
- Other Thoughts: It works alright in my tiny bathroom and kitchen, but I still have to mop those and sweeping would be far faster. If you're on a budget and your small house is all linoleum and you never actually vacuum or sweep, this product might be for you, otherwise it provides you little other than entertainment value. For the engineers: making your own robot out of its parts would require a complete redesign, I would recommend just designing your own and not bother with this. It relies on physical hit detection and there are better ways to navigate.
- Pros: No chance to find out yet, if any.
- Cons: Worked 20 minutes, then quited. That might be the reasom that this item is non-refundable, non-replaceable. Don't waste your time and money (like what I will have to during next few months).
